GERMANY LEAD AT HALFWAY IN FIGURE SKATING!
Minerva Fabienne Hase and Nikita Volodin produce a fabulous effort of 80.01 to lead the way in the pairs figure skating.
That is a fair old gap ahead of Anastasiia Metelkina and Luka Berulava of Georgia, who registered 75.46 to occupy second place.
The free skate tomorrow looks ripe for German success, but dangerous to make predictions when pressure and medals are on the line.
  • Hase/Volodin (GER) 80.01
  • Metelkina/Berulava (GEO) 75.46
  • Pereira/Michaud (CAN) 74.60
  • Pavlova/Sviatchenko (HUN) 73.87

TEAM GB MEN'S CURLERS REFLECT ON NARROW DEFEAT TO SWISS
"It was a close effort," said skip Bruce Mouat. "On another day, if we had more time, we would make the [final] shot [of the match] and come away with the win.
"I think both teams are playing well, which is exciting.
"I think if we got an early advantage then we could probably run away with it, but it's going to be tough to beat a team like that."

SWISS GRAB VICTORY IN EXTRA END!
Such a tight finish! Team GB had the chance to take out the win in the 10th end, but Swiss had the hammer in the extra end and come up with the shot they needed to seal the deal. They remain undefeated with five straight wins! Only a second loss for Team GB. These two rinks could come across each deeper in the tournament.

Team GB trying to force this to an extra end. Still lying one with one to come. Bruce Mouat trying to draw this final stone to the back of the green for victory. But just a little light on pace. And it is not two. Only one. 5-5 with an extra end to come. That was the match right there! How close can you get.

ALL GETTING VERY NERVY IN THIS CURLING JOUST!
Can see why this was a 5-4 win for Team GB in last year's world final. It is now 5-4 to the Swiss, but GB have the hammer in the final end as they try to tie this up again. Or better still complete the victory.
