Marc Marquez has admitted it was "difficult" to attack his brother during his Grand Prix Argentina win.
The Spanish rider has been the dominant force in the early stages of the MotoGP season, and he backed up his win in Thailand with victory in Argentina.
It was not a walk in the park for Marc, as Alex made a mid-race pass to take the lead.
Marc said he was not confident after being jumped for the lead, but things improved as the race progressed.
He made an unsuccessful pass on Lap 18, and admitted to being cautious so as not to impede his brother.
"The race was amazing," Marquez told TNT Sports. "Today I pushed and from the beginning, the confidence was not good with the rear. I had a few problems.
"Then I saw Alex was pushing and controlling the race and I felt P2 would be okay. But in the end, I started to feel better and better.
"It was difficult to attack your brother. I tried one time and just released the brakes as I was not sure to stop the bike. The second time I prepared better."

Victory was the 90th of Marquez’s career, taking him level with a fellow Spanish great in Angel Nieto.
"I am super happy to equal Angel Nieto. This victory is for him and his family as he was and is super important for Spanish motorcycling." Marquez said. "It is a special honour to equal him."
At the end of the race, as well as executing a synchronised celebration, Marc gave a metaphorical doff of the cap to his brother.

"It was super hard," Marquez said. "Alex has had a similar pace to me all weekend.
"I was suffering all the race and was not riding comfortable.
"But in the end, I was able to suffer. I nearly crashed a couple of times. It was the first race that in some part it was a bit out of control.
"Today Alex gave an amazing performance. I am proud about him and proud about my team, they did an amazing job."
Alex Marquez was unable to fend off his brother, but delighted to take the runner-up spot for the second race in a row.
Asked if it felt more significant than his second in Thailand, he said: "Definitely. I did not get the 25 points, but to me and myself I hit my 100%. I cannot ask for more.
"Maybe I could change the strategy a little, but leading a race gives me more confidence for the future and I am super happy.
"I am super happy but this is only the second race and we have many more things to do."

Franco Morbidelli defied a bout of sickness to complete the podium, his first since 2021, and he was happy with how his race played out.
"It is just the medicine I needed," Morbidelli said. "It is a great feeling, the team did amazing.
"The team did an amazing job improving the bike.
"We stayed tight after yesterday. Today’s result is the best behind the top two guys and is a great reward and a great feeling."
