Tom Aspinall will put his UFC heavyweight title on the line for the first time when he fights Cyril Gane at UFC 321, live on TNT Sports Box Office, at Etihad Arena, Yas Island.
Britain’s Aspinall has not fought since beating Curtis Blaydes in July 2024 to become interim heavyweight champion.
He was upgraded to undisputed champion when Jon Jones announced his retirement and will now make his first defence against Gane on October 25.
Gane has twice come up short in his previous two title fights, losing against Francis Ngannou in 2022, and then against Jones in 2023.
He was last in action in December 2024 when he beat Alexander Volkov by split decision.
The co-main event at UFC 321 sees the women’s strawweight belt up for grabs as Virna Jandiroba and Mackenzie Dern go head-to-head.
Umar Nurmagomedov is also competing for the first time since January as he takes on rising contender Mario Bautista.
