Malaysian manufacturer PROTON has conducted a three-day test in the country ahead of the Prime Yalta Rally, round four of the 12-event IRC.
PG Andersson, Giandomenico Basso and Oleksandr Saliuk Sr, who is making a one-off outing for PROTON in Ukraine, all got the opportunity to sample the latest engine and suspension tweaks that have been made to the Satria Neo S2000.
Team principal Chris Mellors said: “We had a very good test for the event, everything went really well with all of the drivers feeling comfortable in the car and getting plenty of kilometres in.
"The competition is going to be pretty fierce, but, with more time in the car and the further improvements we’ve made to the Satria since the boys were in it last time in the Canaries, we’re feeling confident of a strong performance."
