Join us at 13:00 UK time (14:00 local) for qualifying!
The drivers practise their starts on the grid.
Button finishes second ahead of Massa, Vettel, Schumacher, Hamilton, Webber, Alguersuari, Buemi and Perez.
Alonso tops the session with that 1:14.433.
They do indeed have a last chance - apologies for the lack of detail, all the feeds to the circuit disappeared briefly.
The session will restart in a minute and teams could yet get one more run.
The HRT is winched away. It doesn't look good for their hopes of making qualifying.
The red flags are out. He went over the bumps and slid sideways, catching the tyre wall with the rear - and it basically disintegrated!
Tonio Liuzzi loses control at Ste Devote and the rear is ruined!
It still amazes me how they host an F1 race around these streets. Madness. But so much fun. They open the streets at night to traffic...
Button sneaks inside the 1:15 mark to go P2. Hamilton stays fourth and Massa fifth as they set times.
Alonso goes top with a very quick 1:14.433. Petrov with a moment, but just avoids the barriers.
Hamilton back out for a last run. Jaime Alguersuari's car has a problem, probably on the rear right.
Alonso, Button and Petrov the only drivers out on track.
Webber locks up after the tunnel - the point where the German's crash started - and cannot improve his time.
A hectic session so far, disrupted by that Rosberg crash.
Webber, who was on pole here last year, goes third ahead of Alonso with 1:15.772.
Webber fourth, still in the 1:16s, as Hamilton and Alonso come into the garages.
Over 50 gear changes a lap in this race, very physically demanding - and also mentally, with no time to settle on a straight. Hamilton goes second, 0.270s off the pace.
And the world champion does indeed go top, with 1:15.423.
