Good morning and welcome to the first free practice session at Silverstone for this year's British Grand Prix

Webber with a bizarre end to his run as he turns the engine and electrics off before making the pits, seems like a fuel-run-out test

So Webber is the quickest this morning, but there have been some major changes late on just behind him with Schumacher, Barrichello and Perez coming next

The chequered flags are out now and nearly all the drivers have recorded their final times of the morning session

Massa has now gone past Alonso and the work done to his rear wing has clearly made the difference

Button not having the best morning so far as he drops down a position to 14th

Fair amount of drivers out there now, Hamilton having to deal with some traffic

The rain has eased off and the cars are drying the track off pretty successfully

But he didn't stay there long as he moves right the way back up to second

Rosberg still out there, he set the pace very early on but is down in 13th now

Webber clearly enjoying Silverstone as he did last year when he won the race

Webber looks set to improve on his time and does indeed do so, going sub 1.47

Hamilton and Button out there now, neither with great times as yet

Massa does indeed move up the board, into fourth

Webber is back out and back to the top, the first change at the top for some time, and the Australian shaves half a second off the lead time

Massa back out and will be hoping to get a bit closer to his team mate's time

Rain seems to have eased off and even a brief glimpse of sun

Vettel goes round quickest in the second section but then heads back into the pits

No movement at all at the top of the charts, Alonso is still out there trying to consolidate his time

Kamui Kobayashi's team mate Perez also comes into the pits, but it looks conincidental as it wasn't a fault with the car that caused the crash

THe Sauber looks a sorry sight and there's no way that will be starting on time this afternoon
