Arsenal 'expected to step up interest' in Barcola
Arsenal are reportedly eyeing up a move for Paris-Saint Germain winger Bradley Barcola this summer after Aston Villa's asking price for Morgan Rogers proved too high.
According to the BBC, Villa value Rogers at £130m which would "prove a stumbling block" for any potential transfer to Arsenal.
As a result, the Gunners are "expected to step up their interest" in Barcola after "receiving encouragement that the forward could be available this summer."
Arsenal representatives will watch France's game against Sweden on Tuesday at the 2026 World Cup to track his participation.

Yamal: 'I like Alvarez so much'
It's already been a big summer for Barcelona, following the addition of Anthony Gordon.
But could it get even better for the Catalan club? They have been linked with moves for Julian Alvarez and Mikel Oyarzabal this summer, as they attempt to rebuild their forward line.
And the club's star attacker, Lamine Yamal, is full of praise for the two potential additions.
"I like Julian Alvarez so much, then Oyarzabal also of course," the 18-year-old told El Partidazo de COPE. "This is in the club’s hand, not on me."

James and Quansah to miss DR Congo match
It's time for a switch of Ben's here, Morse replacing Southby.
My first port of call is to give you some team news ahead of England's round of 32 clash with DR Congo on Wednesday.
England's official X account said that the full squad trained, apart from Reece James and Jarell Quansah, who are "following their own programmes."
According to Sky Sports, James and Quansah have been ruled out of tomorrow's match through injury.
It will be the second game in a row James has missed with a hamstring issue, while Quansah twisted his ankle in Saturday's win over Panama while filling in for James.
It means that manager Thomas Tuchel is without two of his right-back options.

Pickford on Tuchel's England approach
Long-term Three Lions goalkeeper Jordan Pickford has been discussing boss Thomas Tuchel and how he manages his players, instilling "belief and togetherness".
"I think we have had that previously [with Gareth Southgate], but I think the manager's got that belief in us," he said.
The meetings the manager has with us, it is like you are ready to go to war.
"He puts that belief in you. There are different meetings he has tactically, and it is like, 'Yeah, it is go time.'
"We all want the same goal, we all want that end goal and this squad he has picked, we are all in good spirits and all in good moments in our career."

Who starts for England at right-back?
Thomas Tuchel has a problem on his hands... The Three Lions boss is running out of options on the right-hand side of defence.
Tino Livramento suffered an injury in the pre-tournament camp, before Reece James picked up a knock just two games in.
Jarell Quansah started at right-back against Panama, but was forced off with an ankle injury and is a doubt for the round of 32.
Djed Spence could be Tuchel's only option. He could win a spot back in the team after he started in the draw against Ghana at left-back as England earned a clean sheet.

New contract for Kinsky
Goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky has signed a new deal with Tottenham Hotspur.
"I'm so happy and I can feel the trust from the club," Kinsky said.
"When I joined 18 months ago, my expectations were to fight for my place in the team and to wear this shirt every week.
It's been a real journey to get here and a nice story already.
"I'm looking forward to what lies ahead over the next months and years."
Kinsky will reportedly be Spurs' No. 1 choice goalkeeper next season under head coach Roberto De Zerbi, who said: "Toni was outstanding over the final seven games of the season and a key part of what we achieved in that period.
"I am delighted he has committed his future to the club."

The race for the World Cup Golden Boot!
It has been goals galore in North America so far, and some of the world's biggest stars are filling their boots.
All five players with four goals or more are still in the tournament, with Kylian Mbappe, Ousmane Dembele and Erling Haaland involved in tonight's action.
Lionel Messi leads the way and plays Cape Verde next, while Mbappe and Dembele are up against Sweden's leaky defence.
Haaland takes on Ivory Coast, while Vinicius' Brazil are already through to the last 16.
Harry Kane (England), Jonathan David (Canada), Yoane Wissa (DR Congo) and Matheus Cunha (Brazil) are the notable active players on three goals.

Ivory Coast and Norway take centre stage first, but then we have a blockbuster to look forward to between France and Sweden.
Here are some of the standout stats and facts ahead of the game.
  • France beat Senegal, Iraq and Norway to achieve a perfect group stage for the first time since 1998, when they won the tournament on home soil.
  • Ousmane Dembele has hit form at exactly the right time, scoring a first-half hat-trick against Norway in France's last game after going 19 games goalless in major tournaments.

'I'd go with Mainoo' against DR Congo - Rooney
Former England skipper Wayne Rooney has been previewing England's game against DR Congo on Wednesday and has revealed that he would make a bold change in midfield.
"I'd go with Declan Rice sitting, and I'd go with Mainoo and Jude Bellingham," he told The Wayne Rooney Show.
"Mainoo can give you a bit of both, but in tight areas, that's Mainoo's biggest strength - his feet in tight areas, and then he has got a little pass.
"I think he's the only one who is capable of doing that in those tight areas."

Madueke opens up on relationship with Saka
Ahead of England's round of 32 match against DR Congo, Noni Madueke spoke to the media and discussed his relationship with Arsenal and Three Lions teammate Bukayo Saka.
The pair share right wing duties with club and country, and Madueke said that although their relationship "should be strange", it is actually the opposite.
”It’s well documented that we’re very close,” Madueke said at a press conference.
”Normally it should be a little bit strange [between two players who play in the same position]. But it’s not.
I feel like it doesn’t affect our relationship whatsoever.
