England will continue their pursuit of a first Women's World Cup victory when they face co-hosts Australia in the semi-finals. The Lionesses have reached the last four for a third consecutive World Cup, but unlike 2015 and 2019, they will be aiming to go a step further and reach their first World Cup final. Sarina Wiegman's side edged past Colombia with a 2-1 quarter-final victory.

England take on co-hosts Australia in the 2023 Women’s World Cup semi-finals, aiming to making their first appearance in the final.
Sarina Wiegman’s side are preparing to face a cauldron of noise at Stadium Australia in Sydney, with the majority of the crowd willing them to fail.
The Lionesses have made solid, if rather unspectacular progress in the competition, topping a group containing Haiti, Denmark and China with relative ease, before tense wins over Nigeria and Colombia in the last 16 and quarter-finals respectively.
Australia also had to hold their nerve to overcome France in a dramatic quarter-final, beating Les Bleus 7-6 on penalties.
That followed a 2-0 win against Denmark in the last 16, after also topping their group above Nigeria, Canada and Republic of Ireland.
The two sides have already met this year after a goal each from Sam Kerr and Charlotte Grant ended England’s 30-match unbeaten run in April’s friendly at Brentford's Gtech Community Stadium, as the Matildas won 2-0.
Here is everything you need to know ahead of England's semi-final clash with Australia.

Keira Walsh has dismissed suggestions that victory would mean more due to the historical sporting rivalry between England and Australia.
After reaching the semi-finals in a third consecutive Women's World Cup, Wiegman’s side will be hoping to exorcise a few demons and reach the final for the first time.
She said: "The media do talk a lot, but for us it's not about Australia, we want to win regardless.
"There's a rivalry in any team, it doesn't make any difference if the media is talking about beating England.
"Whatever game we play in we want to win, it doesn't matter who you are playing against. We aren't thinking about spoiling the party. We are fully focused on reaching the World Cup final."
Who could England face in the final?
In the opposite semi-final and under dramatic circumstances, Spain edged Sweden 2-1 to reach their first-ever World Cup final - with all three goals scored in the final 10 minutes.
Spain thought they had won it when Salma Paralluelo struck in the 81st minute to separate a tight affair, only for Sweden's Rebecka Blomqvist to cancel it out in the 88th minute.
But before Sweden could finish celebrating the equaliser, Spain found a last-minute winner through Olga to steal the match and a spot in the final.
Either England or Australia will take on Spain in Saturday's final.
