Genkov rescues Bulgaria

Genkov calmly slotted the ball past goalkeeper Logan Bailly with three minutes remaining after Jan Wuytens had handled inside the penalty.

Wuytens was the second Belgium player to be dismissed following Landry Mulemo - who just minutes earlier had been shown a second yellow card - down the tunnel.

The game had been looking good for Belgium when substitute Jonathan Legear fired in the rebound after Faris Haroun had been denied from the penalty spot in the 74th minute.

But Mulemo's dismissal put the home-side on the back foot leading to the penalty that Genkov tucked away to lead the two sides all square going into Wednesday's second leg in Sofia.
