KOLO MUANI AT THE DOUBLE AS FRANCE HOLD ON TO CRUCIAL WIN
Randal Kolo Muani scored twice as France held on to secure a vital 2-1 win over Belgium in an enthralling encounter in the Uefa Nations League in Brussels.
Didier Deschamps' side had their backs against the wall following Aurelien Tchouameni's red card in the 76th minute but they withstood late pressure from the hosts to cling onto their lead and reach the brink of qualification from the group stage.
Kolo Muani gave the visitors the lead with a penalty following a Wout Faes handball just 12 minutes after Youri Tielemans had blazed over from the spot squandering a golden chance to give Belgium the lead.
As France looked set to head into half-time with the lead, Timothy Catsagne found Lois Openda to head home the equaliser in the third minute of stoppage time,.
Just two minutes after France had a Manu Kone goal ruled out for handball in the build-up, Kolo Muani restored their lead with a strong header that Koen Casteels could have perhaps done better with in goal for Belgium.
The pressure on France mounted late on as Tchouameni picked up a second yellow for a foul on Tielemans but Deschamps' men remained resolute to earn their fifth successive win against Belgium.
End of 2nd Half
FULL TIME: BELGIUM 1-2 FRANCE
France manage to hold on to secure a crucial 2-1 victory over Belgium after going down to ten men for the final 20 minutes of proceedings.
A huge result for the visitors which takes them on the cusp of qualifying for the knockout stage after two goals from Kolo-Muani.

BELGIUM PUSHING LATE-ON
The match-winner, as it stands, Kolo Muani is off in place of Thuram as France run the clock down that little bit more.
Trossard gathers it and spins nicely in a tight space on the edge of the box but his strike goes way over and eases pressure on France for now.
It's quickly with Doku on the left who plays in an underlapping De Cuyper. He drills a superb ball across but France manage to scramble it clear.
90+2'
FRANCE HOLDING OUT
There will be a minimum of five added minutes here in the closing stages. Can Belgium find their goal? It's worked out to Doku, now on the left. He takes Kounde on the outside but his low cross is put behind for a corner by Konate.
The ball falls to the feet of Trossard on the left of the box. He looks to curl a cross/shot to the back post but it;s easy pickings for Maigna.
90'
CRUCIAL KOUNDE BLOCK
Trossard wins another corner and it's a wicked ball in right on top of the goalkeeper but there is no Belgian player there to compete for the header.
There is a lovely burst down Belgium's right from Lukebakio before he pulls it back to Openda who looks to sweep home but Kounde gets a crucial block in. Great defending.

FRANCE STANDING STRONG
Fofana is involved early on causing problems for De Cuyper close to the penalty area but as he falls to the ground under close attention from the Belgian, the referee waves a dismissing arm for the substitute to get back up.
Down the other end Saliba marshals the ball behind and France are really slowing things down now. Engels and Trossard combine well with some neat flicks but there is no way through just yet.
83'
MORE CHANGES AS BELGIUM PUSH FOR LEVELLER
Trossard wins Belgium the corner down their right but as they go short and work a routine to Vraanckx on the edge of the box, the substitute blazes his curling effort way over.
Lukebakio and Engels are on in place of De Ketelaere and Tielemans. Digne picks it up in an advanced position once again down France's right and wins the corner from his cross. The full-back takes it but it doesn't beat the first man.
80'
MOMENTUM WITH BELGIUM
From the free-kick, Trossard goes for the 'knuckleball' technique and it's a solid effort but Maignan is over to the right of his goal to save fairly comfortably.
A less than comfortable moment just a minute later though for the France keeper as he looks to come and sweep up but he gets there after De Cuyper and takes the Belgian player out in the process to earn another yellow in this game. Youssouf Fofana is on for a slow-departing Dembele.

RED CARD FOR TCHOUAMENI
As Belgium counter, Openda plays a lovely ball through for Tielemans who was making a marauding run down the centre of the pitch.
As Tielemans picks it up on the edge of the box, Tchouameni clips the heels of the Villa man and he picks up a second yellow.

DOUBLE CHANGE FOR FRANCE
The ball drops to Kone on the edge of the box again but his powerful effort is blocked this time. Moments later and Digne sees an audacious effort from the left of the box blaze over.
A double change for France now as Camvavinga and Nkunku are on for Guendouzi and Barcola.

BELGIUM GO CLOSE
Sailba, looking more like his usual self in this half, shrugs off Openda before zipping a ball out to Barcola. Tielemans does well though to win the foul from the young winger.
So close for Belgium! Doku cuts in from the right and finds Trossard on the left of the box. His first touch takes him onto his left foot as he lets fly. It goes wide of the far post but a sliding Openda was so close to getting a toe onto the end of it,

DOUBLE CHANGES FOR HOSTS
Belgium respond almost instantly as the ball falls to Debast on the edge of his box. His low effort has plenty of power and movement on it but Maignan is down well to save.
There are the first changes of the tie as Mangala and Castagne and off in place of De Cuyper, who scored against Italy on Thursday, and Vrankx.

GOAL! BELGIUM 1-2 FRANCE (KOLO MUANI)
Moments after their disallowed goal, France take the lead!
They combine nicely down their left before Digne delivers a lovely sweeping ball into the box. It finds the head of Kolo Muani who comes up with a powerful downward header that squirms under Casteels for his second goal of the game.
With the header not finding the corner, the keeper will be disappointed not to have kept it out after getting his hand to it.
62'
FRANCE DANGEROUS ON THE COUNTER
There are cries heard from Tedesco asking his side to keep the ball as they gift the ball back to France cheaply.
On their next attack they win the corner as Saliba blocks Tielemans' cross. The latter is on the next set-piece but Tchouameni heads clear not once but twice. France look to counter once again but Doku gets back well.
60'
DISALLOWED GOAL FOR FRANCE
Digne and Barcola combine superbly down France's left and after a scramble in the box, Kolo Muani tees up Kone who from the edge of the box sees his first shot blocked by Faes but he strokes it into the bottom right corner on the second go.
Celebrations are short lived as the referee says there was a handball in the build from Kolo Muani and after a VAR check the goal is disallowed.

YELLOWS RACKING UP
As Dembele looks to break through the lines once again, De Ketelaere pulls onto his shirt in such a blatant manner that he tears his thermal layer, and consequently picks up the seventh yellow of the match.

YELLOW FOR FAES
It's Faes' turn to pick up the booking this time for clinging on to Kolo Muani who had spun his defender. Faes will be thankful he didn't get a yellow for his handball to give away the penalty.
Castagne plays a sublime ball in behind the defence for an onrunning Tielemans who looks for the deft chip over Maignan but the Milan keeper can smother. The flag goes up but replays show Tielemans was way onside. Linesmen not having their best evening.

DEMBELE WITH INCREDIBLE RUN
France can break from the Belgium free-kick through Dembele who picks it up well in his own half before driving the length of the pitch before whipping the ball just wide of the left post.
That was very much one of those instances when it looked like the ball had gone in, striking a post behind the goal.
52'
BIZARRE KOUNDE MISTAKE
Either side have had nine shots so far in what has been an exciting and attacking game. Mangala gives away the foul again and he has to be careful already on the yellow.
Castagne is freed down the left but as he is ushered down the wing onto his evidently weaker left foot, his driving touch pings out of play. Kounde then picks it up with the ball not yet going out of play and this is a dangerous position for Belgium from their left.
