Liverpool's Curtis Jones, Newcastle full-back Lewis Hall and Southampton defender Taylor Harwood-Bellis have earned call-ups to the latest England squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League matches.
Interim boss Lee Carsley has picked his side for the ties against Greece and Ireland respectively, in his last games in charge before the arrival of new England boss Thomas Tuchel.
Goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has replaced Nick Pope in the squad, while John Stones and Kobbie Mainoo have both dropped out.
Lille's Angel Gomes and Nottingham Forest's Morgan Gibbs-White both remain in the squad.
"I found a real big challenge of this job is to pick the squad," Carsley said in his press conference. "There are four or five players that can be disappointed they didn't make this squad because they are having good seasons.
"We know a lot of the squad are managing injuries. Hopefully, we get a full set and pick the strongest team we can."
On the inclusions of Hall and Harwood-Bellis, he added: "Both players who have played a lot of minutes this season, showed they can play at a high level. I know them both really well.
"Taylor is a player who really deserves it, he's a brilliant captain. Lewis has taken his time to settle in but has shown he can be consistent. He's got a great left foot. It's a good challenge to see if he can maintain that squad.
"I feel it's a really big responsibility. You have to earn your right to be in this squad. They are great phone calls to make. You know what they've gone through in terms of their journey. The fact I have been able to make those calls is something I don't take for granted."
Jones, meanwhile, has enjoyed an excellent start to the season at Liverpool under new manager Arne Slot.
"Curtis is an all-round player, plays in various positions. He is a player I highly rate, he's one of the best I've worked with in terms of ability," Carsley said.
"He is showing consistency at a high level now. He can score goals, assist and is a player we've had a lot of success with in the past."
After the final international break of 2024, attention will inevitably turn towards Tuchel. Carsley has backed the German to succeed in the post.
"I think it's a really good appointment," he said. "We talked about getting a coach with a proven track record and Thomas has that. I'm looking forward to watching him work and handing over a strong group of players with potential to win a major tournament to him.
"He hasn't had any influence on the squad selection. I congratulated him via text. He is highly respectful of the job I am doing."

Asked about his future, Carsley reiterated his intention to focus on the England Under-21s job.
"My role will be back with the Under-21s," he said. "A role I'm really privileged to do. With that, there is total support from the senior team. I'm in a better position now to do that.
"I tried to make it quite clear from the offset that I would do the three camps and win promotion in the Nations League. I'll take that confidence into the future.
"I don't see this as a legacy. I'm just trying to do the best job I can. You always have to put the players forward. The bigger picture is it helps World Cup qualification if we get promoted.
"I think it's made me and the staff a lot better. The experience we've had can only help. We speak about comfort zones and this has been right out of it.
"It's something we're stronger for. It wasn't a great experience losing against Greece. You doubt yourself after making a lot of changes, trying something different.
"We're moving in the right direction and we'll be judged on results - hopefully we can finish on a high."
England play Greece in Athens on November 14, before hosting Ireland at Wembley on November 17.
