Fernandez banned

Olympique Marseille coach Jean Fernandez will watch Thursday's UEFA Cup last 16 second leg match at Zenit St Petersburg from the stands after being given a one-match touchline ban for comments made to officials in the home leg defeat to the Russians.

Fernandez, whose assistant Albert Emon has also been banned for one match, was reported for comments made to the referee after last week's 1-0 defeat in their last 16 first leg match at the Stade Velodrome.

Fernandez has also been fined 1,900 euros, UEFA said on its website on Tuesday.

Emon is suspended after being expelled from the dugout in the 82nd minute of last Thursday's match for contesting the referee's decisions. Neither man is entitled to an appeal, UEFA said.
