Vicente out for month

Valencia midfielder Vicente will be sidelined for at least a month after sustaining a leg injury during the 1-1 draw against Chelsea on Wednesday. The Spanish international hobbled off the Stamford Bridge pitch after 55 minutes and was replaced by Miguel Angulo.

Scans after the match revealed a torn muscle in his left leg, meaning the winger will have to spend yet another lengthy period on the treatment table. Already this season, he has suffered five separate injuries, leaving him a little exasperated.

He said: "Just as I had made my way back into the team, the injury has come at the worst time."

He will miss next week's crucial return leg against Chelsea at the Mestalla, as well as important domestic fixtures with both Sevilla and Real Madrid.
