Chelsea have announced the signing of Colombian winger Juan Cuadrado from Fiorentina in a reported £23 million deal.
Cuadrado has penned a four-and-a-half-year contract at Stamford Bridge in a transfer only dwarfed this window by Manchester City's £28million purchase of Wilfried Bony.
Mohamed Salah moved in the opposite direction on loan as part of the deal.
OUR VIEW: Although this went quite close to the wire, the deal was never in doubt. Cuadrado should offer greater incisiveness than the departing Andre Schuerrle, while Salah has simply failed to make any impression at Stamford Bridge.

ANDRE SCHUERRLE LEAVES FOR WOLFSBURG
Andre Schuerrle has completed a switch from Chelsea to Wolfsburg for a reported club record fee of £23 million.
The German World Cup-winning midfielder has found playing opportunities hard to come by at Stamford Bridge, prompting a January transfer to the Bundesliga.
Unlike the British transfer window which closed at 11pm GMT, all Bundesliga sides had to declare signings on the DFL's transfer list by 11am and complete the deals by 5pm - with the Schuerrle deal being completed with just minutes remaining.
OUR VIEW: A fine piece of business by Jose Mourinho, recouping the entire Cuadrado fee by offloading Schuerrle. While the German is a fine player, Mourinho has shown no hesitation in cashing in on players that have drifted to the fringes as he tries to operate within Financial Fair Play.
.@Andre_Schuerrle has today finalised his move to Wolfsburg. Good luck Andre! http://t.co/fu7Cz4IWeq#CFCpic.twitter.com/tZEWWteSZt— Chelsea FC (@ChelseaFC) February 2, 2015
SOUTHAMPTON GET RYAN BERTRAND ON PERMANENT DEAL
Southampton have signed Ryan Bertrand on a permanent deal from Chelsea.
The 25-year-old had been loaned out seven times during a nine-year Chelsea career, including spells at Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa.
Bertrand was sent off during Southampton's 1-0 home defeat to Swansea on Sunday, but has impressed at Southampton this season.
OUR VIEW: At 25, and in his seventh loan assignment, it was about time for Bertrand to make a permanent move away from Chelsea. He has been in fine form for Southampton this season and the move makes perfect sense for all parties.
