In Tuesday's Euro Transfer News, Brazil legend Neymar could be on his back to playing European football at the start of the new year. Neymar eyes return to European football

Brazil legend Neymar could make a spectacular return to European football in the January transfer window, according to Sportmediaset.
The publication reports that the 33-year-old is considering his options when his contract with Santos expires at the end of December.
"Given Neymar’s contractual situation, the issue could surprisingly return to the forefront of the Italian league," the report reads.
"Not so much for Inter but there could be other clubs looking for an attacking player of his calibre. The Brazilian’s contract, which expires on December 31, will be officially released in January, and he will be free to join any non-EU club on a free transfer.
"The player's entourage is already working on this situation ahead of the winter transfer window and especially with the World Cup in sight, with Neymar eager to attract the attention of Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti."
Neymar made his mark on European football when he joined Barcelona in 2013, where he teamed up with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez to form a formidable front-three partnership labelled "MSN".
Four years later, Neymar signed for Paris Saint-Germain for a world-record fee of around ÂŁ200 million where he played alongside Kylian Mbappe.
Following a four-year stint in the French capital, he completed a move to Saudi Pro League club Al Hilal before returning to his boyhood club Santos in Brazil.

Madrid favour Upamecano over Konate

Cadena Ser claims that Real Madrid have turned their attention to Bayern Munich star Dayot Upamecano and prefer to sign him rather than continue their interest in his international team-mate Ibrahima Konate.
This might come as a huge relief to Liverpool fans who went through a similar saga with Los Blancos last season when Trent Alexander-Arnold decided to bid farewell to Merseyside in favour of a move to Spain.
The Anfield faithful were primed for another saga involving Madrid who have been heavily linked with Konate with his contract expiring at the end of the current campaign.

However, the Spanish report claims that Xabi Alonso's side prefer to sign Upamecano who could also be available on a free transfer next summer.
The report reads: "French international Dayot Upamecano is one of the names Real Madrid has on its list of potential players.
"And the Madrid club knows, thanks to the 26-year-old's agent, that negotiations for his renewal with Bayern Munich have broken down.
"Upamecano is the name that's starting to gain traction, especially after the Konate option, which was also being considered at Real Madrid, is starting to collapse due to Liverpool's mounting injury crisis."

Inter enter race to sign Guehi

Inter have become the latest club to target Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi, according to Tuttosport.
The publication claims that the England international has no intention of signing a new contract at Selhurst Park, which means he could be available for a transfer fee during the January transfer window or he could leave for free in the summer.
Tuttosport reports that Liverpool are still the favourites to sign Guehi despite their deadline day deal for the player collapsing in the final stages of the summer transfer window.

However, the Premier League champions face competition from the likes of Bayern Munich and Barcelona for the defender's signature, while Inter believe a player swap could be their best option to land Guehi.
The publication reads: "It's no secret that Yann Aurel Bisseck was one of the players identified by Crystal Palace to replace their captain. The English club made a €35m (£30m) offer, but Inter were reluctant to sell him, and Bisseck himself didn't seem entirely convinced by the move.
"Now, as explained a few days ago, the player, who Manuel Akanji has kept out of first-team action, is reportedly reevaluating his future so as not to miss out on a possible call-up to the 2026 World Cup.
"If Bisseck were to push for a January departure, Crystal Palace could make another move, and Inter could try to get ahead of the competition for Guehi, proposing a swap deal, if not for the same amount, then certainly not too far off, given that Guehi will be free to sign for free in June.
"Logically, it cannot be ruled out that Liverpool, who have since lost Leoni to injury, will make a move again, but the outcome of the negotiations in September has cooled relations between the parties."
