Man Utd striker Zirkzee in demand

Three clubs are now in the running for Manchester United forward Joshua Zirkzee as he is linked with a move away.
West Ham United and Sevilla are known to be interested, and The Mirror reports that AS Roma are now keen on the player.
The paper states: "Manchester United have a new potential buyer for Joshua Zirkzee.
"The Dutch international has been linked with Sevilla and West Ham United, but AS Roma have now entered the mix.
"It isn't the first time Roma have found themselves in contention to hand an Old Trafford escape route to an out-of-favour United star. Jadon Sancho was a target for the Serie A outfit over the summer, only for wage demands to reportedly put paid to the deal, with Sancho eventually joining Aston Villa on loan.
"Zirkzee moved to Old Trafford after impressing for Bologna and helping the club qualify for the Champions League under Thiago Motta in 2024. A reunion with Motta at Juventus had been mooted, only for the manager to lose his job in Turin in March."

Fullkrug open to West Ham exit

West Ham striker Niclas Fullkrug is ready to leave the club this winter after struggling to make an impact on the side.
The German cost £27 million but has yet to justify that outlay after a succession of injuries, and he hopes to get minutes on the pitch to get a place in his country’s World Cup squad.
The Evening Standard explains: "Niclas Fullkrug is open to a move away from West Ham in the January transfer window, according to his agent.
"The German striker has struggled with injuries since signing for the Hammers in August 2024, and his agent, Thorsten Wirth, has now said a January exit is possible, with Fullkrug hoping to go to the World Cup next summer.
"Fullkrug has missed 31 games for club and country since his £27m move from Borussia Dortmund, and Wirth says the 32-year-old’s fitness issues have contributed to his clients’ struggles to make an impression in England."

Newcastle executive set to join Juventus

Juventus are expected to appoint Peter Silverstone as chief business officer when his gardening leave period ends.
Silverstone has been the chief commercial officer at Newcastle for the last few seasons and has previously worked at Arsenal.
The Athletic writes: "Newcastle United chief commercial officer Peter Silverstone is set to join Juventus.
"Silverstone is on gardening leave at Newcastle before linking up with the Serie A side as their chief business officer.
"The Scot joined Newcastle in October 2022, under previous chief executive officer Darren Eales, leaving his role as senior vice-president of global development at OneFootball.
"He had previously spent seven years at Arsenal, working as business development director, commercial director and CCO."

Martin linked with Southampton return

Former Rangers manager Russell Martin has been linked with a return to Southampton after Will Still was sacked.
Martin was in charge of Southampton’s most recent spell in the Premier League.
The Sun reports: "Southampton sacked Will Still after a horror start to the Championship.
"The Saints would’ve seen themselves as promotion contenders, but instead sit 21st and just outside the relegation zone after just two wins from 13 league games. That run has seen Still axed after just over five months at the helm.
"Incredibly, it’s ex-Gers boss Martin who is the favourite for the position. He was previously in charge of Southampton between 2023 and 2024."
