Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana has joined Turkish Super Lig club Trabzonspor on loan.
United's decision to let the 29-year-old leave Old Trafford comes after the signing of Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp on deadline day.
Onana was seen as United's No. 1 goalkeeper last season, shown ultimately by him starting in the UEFA Europa League final against Tottenham Hotspur in May.
But after missing pre-season with a hamstring injury, he was left out of the squad for the visit of Arsenal on the opening day of this campaign before being benched for the two Premier League games since - against Fulham and Burnley - with Altay Bayindir starting all three matches.
Onana was selected for United's clash against League Two Grimsby Town in the Carabao Cup, but was arguably to blame for both goals as the Premier League side crashed out on penalties after a 2-2 draw.
There were already question marks over the Cameroon international heading into this season, following a succession of mistakes towards the end of the previous campaign.
He was dropped from the squad for the trip to Newcastle in April after being at fault for both goals in United's 2-2 draw at Lyon in the first leg of their Europa League quarter-final.
Onana has made 102 appearances for United since arriving from Inter for £47.2m in 2023.
He was brought to Old Trafford by Erik ten Hag, with the pair having previously worked together at Ajax.

Onana's first game with Trabzonspor could see him come up against former Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson, who joined Fenerbahce in the summer.
The match takes place on Sunday, a few hours after United visit local rivals Manchester City in the Premier League.
United have started their league season in mixed fashion, with defeat to Arsenal on the opening weekend followed by a draw at Fulham and then a dramatic 3-2 victory over Burnley at Old Trafford.
