AC Milan director Zlatan Ibrahimovic has admitted that a move for his former Manchester United team-mate Marcus Rashford will be a "difficult deal", but believes the England striker will not need much convincing to join the Italian giants.
Rashford has been heavily linked with a January exit from Old Trafford and reports in Italy say that he could join Milan on loan until the end of the season.
Milan faced Cagliari in Serie A on Saturday night, live on TNT Sports and discovery+, and Ibrahimovic addressed the speculation ahead of kick-off.
"I know him very well. I played with him when he was young, now he is an adult who has established himself," Ibrahimovic told Sky Sport Italia.
"He has done great things with United and that is still his club.
"How to convince him? Milan is one of the biggest clubs in the world, everyone wants to play here.
"But we’re talking about a difficult deal, we will see if we talk to him."
Ibrahimovic spent two seasons with United from 2016 to 2018, when Rashford was first breaking into the United first-team as a regular.
The Swede now works as a senior advisor to Milan’s owners RedBird.
Rashford has been linked with several clubs, including Barcelona and Tottenham, since surprisingly saying in an interview last month that he was "ready for a new challenge".
The England international hasn’t featured for United since December 7 and has scored four goals in 15 Premier League appearances overall this season.
