Man Utd eye Onana replacement
Manchester United are tracking two young goalkeepers as they plan to replace struggling stopper Andre Onana at Old Trafford, according to The Sun.
Senne Lammens and Lucas Chevalier of Royal Antwerp and Lille respectively are targeted, but there is also competition from Manchester City, should Ederson depart. Onana is linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League.
The paper writes: "Royal Antwerp’s highly rated stopper Senne Lammens is on the radar of a host of Premier League clubs, with Newcastle and West Ham also keen.
"Lille’s brilliant 23-year-old goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier has been tracked by United and City for months.
"Chevalier - like Lammens - is contracted until 2027, but sources claim French club Lille would be willing to do business for around £40 million."
Rashford valuation increases
Man United might attempt to negotiate a higher fee than £40m for forward Marcus Rashford after a bright start to his Aston Villa loan.
The unsettled forward has done well in the early weeks of his loan at Villa Park, and the Mirror suggests the club could ask for more than the original sum.
The paper writes: "When Rashford completed his loan switch at the end of the winter window, it was widely reported that Villa had an option - not an obligation - to buy him for £40m.
"A knockdown price for Rashford at his best but, at the time, a risk considering how below that level he has performed for much of the past 18 months.
"United sources also suggested that Villa would be paying three-quarters of his £325,000-a-week salary - making him by some distance the best-paid player in Unai Emery’s squad.
"And his return to the Three Lions fold has led some to believe United could look for more than was initially agreed with their Premier League rivals. But with Villa in a strong negotiating position, it remains to be seen whether they could actually do so."
Chelsea have to pay huge fee to reject Sancho
The Daily Express reports that Chelsea will face having to pay up a sizeable figure if they wish to avoid signing Jadon Sancho.
The figure will be the best part of the proposed transfer fee, which is said to be around £22-25m.
The paper explains: "The Blues sealed the loan on deadline day last summer and, as part of the agreement, are obliged to make the deal permanent for between £22 million and £25m, if they finish above 15th in the Premier League.
"Enzo Maresca's side are all but guaranteed to achieve that criteria, but Sancho hasn't set the world alight since his United exit, descending his future into uncertainty.
"Chelsea can reportedly pay The Red Devils a significant fee, thought to make up most of the obligation price, to breach the agreement and send him back to Old Trafford.
"Club chiefs are said to believe that even if Chelsea drop out of the deal, they can boost their funds on top of the significant fee by offloading the England international elsewhere."
Celtic may return for Kvistgaarden
Mathias Kvistgaarden is set to be sold by Danish side Brondby in the summer, leading to speculation that the player may be on his way to Celtic.
The Scottish club made a move for him in 2024, but ultimately signed Adam Idah instead, and could make another push.
The Daily Record states: "He may only be 22 but it feels like Brondby striker Kvistgaarden has been on Celtic's agenda for years. It first came about in January 2024, when Celtic instead opted to sign Adam Idah on an initial loan, Kvistgaarden was then just too valuable for Brondby to sell unless the offer was obscene.
"He's kept his form up ever since – this season, he's banged in 15 goals in 26 appearances and it does appear a matter of time before a major club, whether it's Celtic or otherwise, make their move.
"It's expected he'll cost north of £10m when the time comes."
