De Bruyne could fulfil childhood Reds dream
Kevin De Bruyne "could fulfil a childhood dream" by making a shock move to Manchester City’s Premier League rivals Liverpool, according to the Mirror.
The Belgium international is set to leave The Citizens at the end of the season when his contract expires, and he has been linked with a transfer to Arne Slot’s title winners.
The report states: "Kevin De Bruyne could fulfil a childhood dream with a move to Liverpool. The Belgian midfielder is set to leave Manchester City at the end of the season after not being offered a new deal.
"His future remains up in the air amid interest from MLS, as well as Premier League rivals Aston Villa. Now new contenders for his signature have emerged in the last 24 hours also.
"According to reports in Italy, Napoli are interested in De Bruyne, while Liverpool have, it's claimed, tabled a contract offer to tempt him to move to Anfield - although it's something the club have played down.
"But becoming a Red would see De Bruyne make his childhood wish come true, having revealed his affection for the club regularly in the past."

Rashford prepared to take wage cut to join Barca
Marcus Rashford is prepared to accept a decrease in salary in order to move to Barcelona.
The Mirror claims the Manchester United forward’s preferred destination is Barcelona, and he is taking steps to make a transfer happen.
The article reads: "Marcus Rashford is said to have partnered with super-agent Pini Zahavi as well as indicating a willingness to lower his salary demands in order to help facilitate a move to Barcelona.
"There have been numerous reports outlining his desire to join the Spanish giants should he leave Old Trafford for good.
"And a new report from Mundo Deportivo has claimed that Rashford is now being represented by Zahavi; an agent with close ties to Barcelona who also represents their manager, Hansi Flick, and Robert Lewandowski.
"It's claimed that the main reason for the move on Rashford's end is due to the fact that Zahavi has strong links to Barca, who do have a void to fill in the left-hand side of their front three with Ansu Fati failing to make an impression on Flick.
"Zahavi is believed to have a strong relationship with the club's president, Joan Laporta, and it's claimed that talks over a loan move this summer have already taken place."

Arsenal braced for major summer transformation
Arsenal could spend up to ÂŁ150 million this summer on a huge squad transformation, claims The Sun.
"Arsenal are set for a huge squad overhaul this summer with a ÂŁ150m splurge - as seven stars are set to be shown the exit," writes the outlet.
"Newcastle's Alexander Isak, 25, is top of Arteta's wishlist, unsurprising given their faltering firepower is one of the team's biggest weaknesses.
"SunSport revealed that Eintracht Frankfurt star Hugo Ekitike, 22, is being targeted as a cheaper, ÂŁ60m alternative.
"Other targets include long-desired RB Leipzig's [Benjamin] Sesko, 21, and Sporting's [Viktor] Gyokeres, 26, with over 50 goals between them.
"Athletic Club's Nico Williams is another attacking target, but as with the previous names, could prove financially difficult due to his large wages.
"Final midfield strengthening will depend on how talks develop with Thomas Partey but there is already an agreement to splash out ÂŁ51m on Real Sociedad's Martin Zubimendi, 26, with that deal expected to be confirmed in the coming weeks.
"Finally, well-admired Bournemouth's Dean Huijsen is being explored as an option with Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Gittens and Espanyol goalkeeper Joan Garcia linked to the club as well."
Meanwhile, several players are being linked with a move away from Emirates Stadium.
"Oleksandr Zinchenko, Kieran Tierney and Gabriel Jesus are among those potentially being shown the door but the Brazilian forward's knee injury has delayed the discussion of offers.
"Defender Nuno Tavares, midfielders Fabio Viera and Albert Lokonga could also leave alongside Sterling who will return to Stamford Bridge at the end of his loan."
