Napoli identify Jesus as potential replacement for Osimhen

Napoli have “identified” Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus as an option as a potential replacement for Victor Osimhen, according to a report in the Mail.
Osimhen’s future at the Serie A winners has been plunged into doubt after a social media clip released by the club appeared to mock the striker.
The Nigeria international played a pivotal role as Napoli claimed the Scudetto for the first time in 33 years last season, scoring 26 goals.
The Mail carries the story, initially reported by Italian outlet Calciomercato.
The report states: “Napoli are 'considering Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus' as a potential replacement for Victor Osimhen.
“According to reports in Calciomercato, Rudi Garcia's side have identified Jesus as one option, along with Lille's Jonathan David and Atletico Madrid's Alvaro Morata.”

Rooney could hire Cole and O'Shea at Birmingham

Wayne Rooney could hire former team-mates Ashley Cole and John O’Shea as backroom staff if he’s appointed Birmingham City manager.
Rooney stepped down as DC United boss on Saturday after failing to lead his team to the MLS play-offs for a second consecutive season.
The Mirror published the story, citing BBC Five Live as the original source.
The article reads: "BBC 5 Live claim that a deal for Rooney to replace Eustace is 'done' and that Cole and O'Shea would join him as part of his new-look coaching staff.
"The former played with Rooney for England, while O'Shea played alongside him at Manchester United."

United target Atleti defender Gimenez

Manchester United are reportedly targeting Atletico Madrid defender Jose Maria Gimenez.
The Spanish outlet Nacional make the claim and the story has made it into the Manchester Evening News.
The report from MEN reads: "United are plotting a £34.6m mid-season move for Jose Maria Gimenez.
That's according to reports from Spanish outlet Nacional about the defender.
"Gimenez has only just penned a new contract with Atletico Madrid.
"However, that has seemingly not stopped the rumour mill as United are, once again, linked with his signature. Manchester Evening News understands United want to sign another centre-back next summer."
