Messi could become co-owner of Inter Miami

Lionel Messi could become a co-owner of Inter Miami with David Beckham, according to The Sun.
Messi has been a hit since joining MLS, scoring 16 goals in 19 appearances and helping Inter Miami to their first ever trophy – the 2023 Leagues Cup.
But a report in The Sun claims the 36-year-old could be about to help shape the club off the field too.
The outlet writes: “Lionel Messi could become a co-owner of Inter Miami alongside David Beckham - using a very familiar clause.
“Messi took his career to America last year after walking out on French champions PSG and snubbing a move to Saudi Arabia.
“The man who convinced the Argentine icon to head Stateside was majority owner of Inter Miami, Jorge Mas, who also appointed Beckham club president.
“And part of Messi's package was the option to take part ownership of the club without needing a buy-in exercised.
“Beckham had a similar clause when moved from Madrid to LA Galaxy in a high-profile transfer in 2007.
“Messi's option instead gives him direct ownership in just Miami.”

Silva interested in life at Barca

Manchester City forward Bernardo Silva is intrigued by life at Barcelona, suggests a report in the Express.
Silva had been linked with the Catalan giants last summer but a move never materialised. However, speculation about the 29-year-old's future isn't going away.
The outlet states: "Manchester City star Bernardo Silva has been asking international team-mate Joao Felix about life at Barcelona. City manager Pep Guardiola has already made it clear how highly he rates the Portuguese, but a bargain release clause in his Sky Blues contract seems almost certain to be triggered this summer.
"Rumours suggest Bernardo has been eyeing up a move abroad for some time. The 29-year-old, born in sunny Lisbon, has earned his living in England since signing from AS Monaco in 2017.
"Seven gruelling seasons and almost 350 appearances later, Bernardo has supposedly been quizzing Felix about Catalan life. The former Chelsea loanee was happy to reveal as much during an interview with Jijantes, in which he publicly called for the City star to join him in Spain.
"Bring Bernardo Silva, bring him," said Felix. "He is very good, and even better as a person. He asks me about Barcelona, he has family here.
"He asks me how things are here. I told him that everything is fine for him to come. If I was [Barcelona sporting director] Deco for a day, I would sign Bernardo Silva, without a doubt."

Man Utd set to offer 'wonderkid' new contract

Teenager Bendito Mantato will reportedly be offered a new deal with Manchester United.
The 16-year-old is training with Erik ten Hag's first-team and is said to be attracting the interest of other clubs.
A report in The Sun claims: "Manchester United are set to offer wonderkid Bendito Mantato a new contract, according to reports.
"The versatile youngster has impressed in the United academy.
"He was fast-tracked to join in with first-team training last month, highlighting how highly valued he is at Carrington.
"And Mantato is set to be rewarded with a new contract, according to Fabrizio Romano.
"The deal will reportedly include a pact for a future professional contract.
"Mantato, 16, is considering the offer amid interest from other clubs, who hope to entice the winger away without having to pay much compensation.
"United have been key to tie down young talent with Darren Fletcher's twin sons Jack and Tyler penning new deals this week.
"Mantato has played for England at youth level and has even been compared to Bukayo Saka.
"He is also capable of playing at full-back and is considered to be one of United's most promising prospects."
