Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe has finally made a decision on his future with reports suggesting he has signed a five-year contract with Real Madrid. Meanwhile, former Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has emerged as a shock candidate to replace Thomas Tuchel as Bayern Munich boss, and England boss Gareth Southgate has got his eyes on three uncapped midfielders.

Mbappe signs 'mega' five-year deal at Real Madrid

Kylian Mbappe has signed a five-year contract with Real Madrid, claims a report in the Mirror.
Mbappe has reportedly announced that he will leave Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season, with Real strongly linked with the soon to be free agent.
Manchester City are also said to be interested, but reports now claim that Mbappe has finally decided his future lies in Spain.
The outlet writes: “Kylian Mbappe has reportedly put pen to paper on a mega-money five-year deal with Real Madrid after confirming he will leave Paris Saint-Germain.
“According to Spanish outlet Marca, Mbappe has already signed his contract with Real. His deal will run until the summer of 2029. It is suggested that they are willing to make him their highest-paid player.
“His deal - apparently worth between £12 million and £17m - while still eye-watering is a decrease on the huge £22m he earns annually in the French capital. However, he is still set to earn a huge £85.5m signing-on fee.”

Bayern considering Solskjaer as Tuchel's replacement

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has emerged as a shock candidate to replace Thomas Tuchel as Bayern Munich boss.
A report in The Sun claims Bayern are “weighing up a move” for the former Manchester United manager, who has been out of work since being dismissed by the Premier League giants in 2021.
Tuchel is said to be under pressure after suffering three consecutive defeats, with the latest coming on Sunday in a 3-2 loss at Bochum.
The report states: “Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is being lined up as a shock replacement for Thomas Tuchel at Bayern Munich, according to sensational reports.
“Tuchel finds himself under immense pressure at the Allianz Arena following three defeats in a row.
“That sees the reigning Bundesliga champions at serious risk of an early Champions League exit to Lazio and eight points off Bayer Leverkusen.
“And now Sky Sport Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg claims Bayern are weighing up a stunning move for Solskjaer to take over as interim boss.
“Plettenberg tweeted on Monday evening: ‘News Solskjær: FC Bayern is monitoring the 50 y/o - as a potential interim solution! But the original plan remains: FC Bayern would like to continue with Thomas Tuchel at least until the end of the season!
"’Bayern and Solskjær: Nothing concrete at this stage! The former Man Utd manager is a free agent and ready to take over a new project. Freund, he’s following the way of Solskjær for years.’”

Mainoo being watched by Southgate

England boss Gareth Southgate has got his eyes on three uncapped midfielders as he prepares to pick his squad for next month friendlies against Brazil and Belgium.
According to the Mail, Southgate is concerned by the form of Kalvin Phillips, who has made a slow start to life at West Ham and was sent off on Sunday during the 2-0 loss to Nottingham Forest.
As a result, he has identified a number of potential replacements, including Manchester United teenager Kobbie Mainoo, who recently scored a stunning winner against Wolves.
The Mail writes: “In addition to Manchester United teenager Kobbie Mainoo, Everton's James Garner and Fulham's Harrison Reed are also being monitored, while West Ham's James Ward-Prowse remains on Southgate's radar almost two years after winning the last of his 11 caps.
“Southgate has kept faith with Phillips all season despite his lack of game time for Manchester City and the 28-year-old remains a key part of the manager's plans, but his performances since joining West Ham on loan last month are a cause for concern."
