Jordan Henderson's long-touted move from Liverpool to Al-Ettifaq has been completed. Henderson won the Premier League and Champions League among other honours over 12 years at Anfield.

It's official! Henderson to leave Liverpool for Al-Ettifaq

Jordan Henderson has completed a move from Liverpool to Saudi Arabian side Al-Ettifaq, where he will play under former team-mate Steven Gerrard.
Henderson has signed a three-year deal with the Saudi Pro League outfit, who paid a reported £12 million for his signature.
The England midfielder confirmed on social media on Wednesday that his 12-year stint at Anfield was at an end, calling his captaincy “one of the greatest honours of my life.”
On Thursday the move was made official by Al-Ettifaq.
He will work under Liverpool legend and former Anfield team-mate Gerrard in Saudi Arabia.
Henderson, 33, won the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, FIFA Club World Cup and two League Cups among other honours during his time on Merseyside.
He was named FWA Footballer of the year in 2019/20 after playing an instrumental role in the club’s first league crown since 1990 and their first of the Premier League era.
Henderson made 492 appearances for the Reds, scoring 33 goals, as well as earning 77 England caps and helping the Three Lions reach the 2018 World Cup semi-finals and Euro 2020 final.
He remained a key player for Jurgen Klopp in 2022/23, making 43 appearances in all competitions, but it was a disappointing campaign for Liverpool as they finished fifth.
Al-Ettifaq have made several notable signings this summer, bringing in France international Moussa Dembele, Scotland defender Jack Hendry and winger Amin Younes.
They are just a handful of the stars to head to the Saudi Pro League in recent weeks, along with the likes of Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante, Ruben Neves and Kalidou Koulibaly.
