Everton have made a surprise bid for Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher, according to a reports.
The reported bid comes on the same day the club announced Sean Dyche as their new boss.

And according to Fabrizio Romano, Everton have proposed a deal worth £45m a day before deadline day.
Manchester United’s Anthony Elanga has also been linked with a move to Everton.
“Everton have submitted a bid to sign Conor Gallagher from Chelsea. It’s £40m proposal plus £5m add ons,” said Romano.
“Chelsea will make a decision soon as there are also other clubs interested in Gallagher — and [the] player has to decide his future too.”
Gallagher came through the Chelsea youth academy but has spent the majority of his senior career so far on loan.
He had spells at Charlton Athletic, Swansea City, West Brom, and more recently Crystal Palace, before returning to Chelsea for the current season.
His campaign with Crystal Palace saw him make a breakthrough as a box-to-box midfielder, with the 22-year-old scoring eight goals and providing five assists in the Premier League for the Eagles.
Gallagher was named in Gareth Southgate’s 2022 World Cup squad, 12 months on from his first England cap.
He was not given any game time in Qatar but has regularly been in Chelsea’s starting XI this season.
