Bayern Munich have appointed Thomas Tuchel but may now return to Chelsea to sign coach Anthony Barry and midfielder Mason Mount, whose contract is running down. Elsewhere, Manchester United hope to sign Tottenham striker Harry Kane, and Chelsea forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is wanted by former club Barcelona in the coming summer transfer window.

Bayern target Mount

Thomas Tuchel hopes to bring Mason Mount to Bayern Munich, according to the Sun. The Chelsea midfielder is out of contract next season, and he could move on a free transfer next year.
The paper picks up the story, saying: “Tuchel is back in work with German giants Bayern Munich after being sacked by the Blues in September.
“He has only been in the job for a few days and wants at least three or four matches to properly size up his new squad before drawing up transfer plans for the summer.
“But Tuchel is a huge fan of the unsettled Mount who is in a contract stand off at Stamford Bridge.
“And there are already early suggestions the six-time European champions will approach Chelsea chairman Todd Boehly about striking a deal in the summer.
“There has been no contact whatsoever between the two parties so far.”

Barcelona want Aubameyang back

The Mirror reports that Barcelona want to re-sign Pierre-Emerick Auabameyang from Chelsea.
The veteran Gabonese forward could be an understudy to Robert Lewandowski, according to the story.
It begins: “Following his £10.5 million transfer to Stamford Bridge last September, Aubameyang has failed to make an impact upon returning to the Premier League and now reportedly realises that he made a grave mistake in signing for Chelsea. The Gabonese striker had only spent eight months with Barca, enjoying a run of 13 goals in 24 games and becoming a key player for manager Xavi Hernandez.
“That's in stark contrast to how he's fared under Graham Potter, scoring just three goals in 17 games and being left out of the Blues' Champions League squad in favour of newer additions in west London. With Potter and co opening to sanctioning his departure, Aubameyang is dreaming of playing for Barcelona again - and fresh suggestions from Catalunya mean that it could become a reality.
“Barca are keen on recruiting a back-up striker who can chip in with goals and offer 34-year-old talisman Robert Lewandowski occasional rests. The Pole has largely been prolific since joining from Bayern Munich last summer but he's only managed two goals in his last 10 games for club and country.”

United prepare Kane bid

Manchester United are preparing a bid for Tottenham striker Harry Kane, the Daily Mail writes. The experienced England international has been linked with United for years.
The paper claims: “Kane has been linked with a move away from north London this summer amid the disarray surrounding Spurs, following Antonio Conte's dramatic sacking this week.
“The England captain's future lies in the balance and it's unlikely he'll want to commit another season at Spurs, which has piqued the interest of a number of clubs.
“One of those teams includes Erik ten Hag's Man United, who have long been admirers of the Three Lions' all-time record goalscorer.
“The 29-year-old has been on United's shortlist since bursting onto the scene and it seems the club's chiefs are finally preparing to make a bid for the Tottenham star.”

Chelsea resist Barry move

The Telegraph reports that Chelsea hope to keep Anthony Barry out of the clutches of Bayern Munich following Thomas Tuchel’s appointment.
The paper writes: “Chelsea’s highly-rated coach Anthony Barry will stay away from the training ground and Stamford Bridge while the club haggle with Bayern Munich over his future.
“Bayern have now made a compensation offer to take Barry, who wants to join Thomas Tuchel’s coaching staff in Germany, but it is understood to fall well short of Chelsea’s valuation.
“Telegraph Sport first revealed that Chelsea were braced for a battle over Barry after Tuchel’s appointment at Bayern and that the former midfielder was interested in working with him in Germany.
“Barry has expressed a wish to join Tuchel at Bayern but the 36-year-old is under contract to Chelsea and the Bundesliga giants have not offered sufficient compensation.”
