Christian Eriksen's name has been a staple of the January gossip column, with a number of clubs linked with the Dane. Now, Everton have reportedly asked about the availability of the Inter playmaker.
Italian newspaper La Stampa (via Sempre Inter) reports Arsenal and the Toffees have both made enquiries about Eriksen who has struggled to force his way into Antonio Conte's team in Italy.
Eriksen has been touted around a number of clubs this month with Valencia another potential suitor after reports from Spain earlier this week. Claims have also been made the Dane has been offered to the two Madrid clubs.

16:25 - Giroud to stay at Chelsea in January

Olivier Giroud has found some good form recently, but there have still been suggestions that the French forward could be on his way out of Chelsea this month.
However, Goal reports Giroud is set to stay at Stamford Bridge until the end of the season despite interest from Juventus who are in the market for a new centre forward.
The 34-year-old will be out of contract at the end of the 2020/21 season, but Chelsea are willing to lose Giroud as a free agent in order to keep him for the second half of the campaign.

16:00 - Fulham want Newcastle's Gayle

Fulham are once again interested in signing Dwight Gayle from Newcastle United as Scott Parker looks to boost his side's hopes of avoiding relegation in the January window.
The Daily Mail claims Fulham are keen on signing Gayle this month despite the forward being out of contract at St James' Park at the end of the season.
This isn't the first time the Cottagers have attempted to sign Gayle, but they have reignited their interest, although the 31-year-old also has options in Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

15:20 - Barca have no plans to sell Griezmann

Antoine Griezmann has struggled to find a role for himself at Barcelona, but the Camp Nou club have no plans to sell the French forward either this month or in the summer.
Spanish outlet Sport claims Barca still have faith in Griezmann and believe the former Atletico Madrid forward will turn around his form after a difficult 18 months at the Camp Nou.
Griezmann has scored just three goals in 15 La Liga appearances this season and has been dropped by Ronald Koeman for recent games.

14:50 - No Wolves contact with Costa or Eriksen

Wolves have not made contact with Diego Costa or Christian Eriksen despite speculation linking the Molineux club with both players this month.
Costa is a free agent after leaving Atletico Madrid, while Eriksen is widely believed to be available after failing to make much of an impression at Inter since joining from Tottenham Hotspur a year ago.
Sky Sports reports Wolves are not prioritising a move for a senior midfielder like Eriksen this month while Costa is not believed to be of the sort of profile the Midlands club would target.
However, Costa's agent is Jorge Mendes. The same Jorge Mendes who has used Molineux as a stable for many of his clients over the last few seasons.

14:25 - Real Madrid's concern over Bale

Dean Jones is back with another Inside Football column and there is some news regarding Gareth Bale's situation at Tottenham Hotspur.
Real Madrid are growing concerned that Bale's awkward fit at Spurs could lead him to returning to the Spanish capital at the end of the season.
However, Tottenham are quite happy with the role Bale is performing for the club despite starting just one Premier League game since joining on loan from Real Madrid.
In fact, Spurs would like to keep Bale beyond the end of his current loan with the North London club also planning talks with Harry Kane over a new contract.

13:25 - City offering de Bruyne less to boost Messi hopes

Kevin de Bruyne has been offered a new contract by Manchester City, with recent reports claiming the Belgian is close to committing his future to the club.
However, The Athletic reports de Bruyne will be on less than he is currently on at City should he put pen to paper on a new deal and this is related to the club's hopes of signing Lionel Messi.
Messi was linked with a move to the Etihad Stadium during the summer when Messi made public his desire to leave Barcelona and it appears City still harbour hope of luring the 33-year-old.
De Bruyne is currently Manchester City's best player and so it's a bold strategy to potentially irritate him by offering less in contract negotiations to facilitate the signing of another player, but the transfer market chess moves have started.

12:50 - Liverpool contact Alaba

David Alaba is out of contract at the end of the season and Liverpool are among the clubs to have contacted the Bayern Munich defender about a summer move.
Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano reports five clubs have made their interest known to Alaba who had the offer of a contract extension withdrawn by Bayern Munich late last year.
Real Madrid are reportedly leading the pursuit to sign the 28-year-old. Talks have already taken place between the two parties, but Alaba has other options in the Premier League, including Liverpool.
Chelsea and Manchester City have also been linked with Alaba, but the Austrian international is believed to consider playing for Real Madrid a dream.

12:25 - Puig signs new Barcelona contract

There has been a lot of speculation around Riqui Puig's future as a Barcelona player, but the young midfielder has now signed a contract extension with the Camp Nou club.
Puig has been largely exiled from Barca's first team squad this season with Ronald Koeman making clear the 21-year-old isn't part of his immediate plans.
This led to reports Puig could leave the Camp Nou this month, either on loan or permanently with his contract set to expire at the end of the 2020/21 season.
But Mundo Deportivo reports Puig has put pen to paper on a contract extension that will keep him at Barcelona for a further two years.
Puig made an impressive breakthrough at Barcelona last season, but was informed over the summer by Koeman that his game time would be limited this term. Koeman wanted Puig to leave on loan, but the youngster stayed to fight for his place.

12:05 - Drinkwater open to Bundesliga move

He has become something of a forgotten figure at Chelsea, but Danny Drinkwater is looking for a way out of Chelsea and the midfielder is open to the idea of a move to the Bundesliga.
According to Fussball Transfers, Drinkwater's representatives held talks with Schalke in November about a move to Germany, although this didn't lead to a transfer.
A number of clubs from Turkey, Russia and North America are interested in signing the former Leicester City midfielder, but it's a move to the Bundesliga that could prove most compelling to the player.

11:25 - City not targeting Ramos

Manchester City are not planning a move for Sergio Ramos with the Real Madrid central defender out of contract at the end of the season.
ESPN reported on Monday that City were monitoring Ramos' situation amid continued claims of the 34-year-old and Real Madrid being some distance apart in their talks over a new contract.
However, Sun reporter Martin Blackburn reports Manchester City are not planning a move for the Spanish veteran, ruling them out of contention for the signing of Ramos.
City already boast a number of top quality centre backs with Aymeric Laporte not even in Pep Guardiola's preferred starting lineup at the moment as Ruben Dias and John Stones forge a strong understanding in defence.

10:55 - Bayern Munich in for Reading defender

Bayern Munich are in talks to sign Reading full back Omar Richards with the England Under 21 international out of contract at the end of the season.
The Telegraph reports Richards is unlikely to sign a new contract at Reading and the German and European champions could step in to sign the 22-year-old as a free agent.
Richards has made 20 appearances for the Championship club this season and could give Bayern Munich some additional depth in the left back position.

10:30 - Atleti target Willian Jose

It wasn't so long ago that Willian Jose looked to be on his way to Tottenham Hotspur, but the Real Sociedad striker is now on Atletico Madrid's radar.
Marco claim Atleti are in the market for a new centre forward after the departure of Diego Costa and Jose is a player they could target to fill that void in the January window.
Atletico Madrid chairman Miguel Angel Gil Marin has a good relationship with Real Sociedad's Jokin Aperribay and that could be a factor in whether or not Jose ends up at the Wanda Metropolitano.

10:15 - West Ham interested in Pelle

Graziano Pelle has surprisingly emerged as one of the hottest players in the game this January, with a number of clubs reportedly interested in the former Southampton striker.
FCInterNews reports West Ham are among those keen on signing the 35-year-old who is out of contract after leaving Chinese Super League club Shandong Luneng at the end of his contract.
Inter and Juventus are also believed to be interested in Pelle. Antonio Conte could be a key figure in luring the striker to the San Siro with the former Italy manager calling him up to the national team.
At 35, Pelle would be a depth option for whatever club he signs for in January, but West Ham need a new centre forward after the injury suffered by Michail Antonio.

09:50 - Real Madrid contract updates

As referenced earlier, Ramos is out of contract at Real Madrid at the end of the season. But it's not just Ramos. Luka Modric and Lucas Vazquez are also set to become free agents.
Spanish sports newspaper AS has provided an update on the contract situation of all three points. They say Ramos has yet to make a decision on his future and is willing to hear from other clubs.

It's claimed Vazquez has rejected Real Madrid's contract offer with the winger recently linked with a move to Leeds United, while Modric is set to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu by penning a new deal.
Vazquez has been in good form of late, but Real Madrid would be able to cope without him. The potential exit of Ramos is more concerning with the veteran the leader of their dressing room. This is a saga that continues to unfold.
Spanish TV show El Chiringuito claims Ramos is prepared to join Lionel Messi at Paris Saint-Germain.

09:35 - Coman 'pleased' with Manchester interest

Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman says he was "pleased" to have both Manchester clubs interested in signing him over the summer transfer window.
Quoted by SportBILD, the Frenchman spoke about his future with the German and European champions and the interest Manchester City and Manchester United have in him.
"It's good to know that good teams are interested in me, it gives me additional confidence," Coman said. "But I have a contract here until 2023, I'm just thinking of Bavaria. It's all good, I'm happy..."
Coman would certainly improve both City and United. The French international is capable of playing on both the left and the right wing, but why would he leave Bayern Munich when he is such an important figure for the Bavarians?

09:15 - Real Madrid want Villarreal's Torres

With Sergio Ramos out of contract at the end of the season, it's possible Real Madrid could be in the market for a new centre back and Pau Torres is a player who interests them.
According to Marca, the Villarreal defender is on the Spanish champions' radar. Torres has a release clause of €50m which would be activated in the summer transfer window.

Torres has also been linked with a move to the Premier League in the past (primarily to Arsenal and Manchester United) with the 23-year-old now considered a key member of Luis Enrique's Spain team.
Ramos might yet choose to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu, but Real Madrid's defence still needs reinforcing and Torres would be a good option for Zinedine Zidane. He is fast, good with the ball at his feet and still has time to grow and improve as he matures.

08:50 - Arsenal offer Juventus Ozil

In his latest transfer notebook for CBS Sports Fabrizio Romano reports that Arsenal have offered Juventus the chance to sign Mesut Ozil.
The Gunners are deperate to offload Ozil's wages, even though his contract is due to expire at the end of the season.
However Romano reports that Juventus are putting their faith in promising youngster Dejan Kulusevski instead.

08:40 - Alli unlikely to leave in January

According to a report from Sky Sports Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli is unlikely to leave the club in January.
Alli has fallen out of favour at Spurs this season and manager Jose Mourinho has confirmed that the midfielder has come to ask him about playing time. New PSG manager, and Alli's former boss, Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly interested in signing the midfielder.
However the Sky report says that Spurs expect Alli to stay and fight for his place.
