Man Utd consider Zaha return

We begin with a report that says that Manchester United are considering a stunning move to bring Wilfried Zaha back to Old Trafford. It is four years since Zaha left United to join Crystal Palace and since returning to South London he has flourished. A clause in the 26-year-old’s contract when he was sold to Palace could mean United get him for a cheaper deal. Zaha’s team-mate Aaron Wan-Bissaka is also reportedly under consideration by United.
Paper Round's view: It is hardly a surprise United would be interested in signing Zaha. Both club and manager are very familiar with the Ivorian and he has emerged as one of the best wingers in the Premier League. However given his experience before at the club would he really want to go back? Borussia Dortmund are reportedly interested as well, might Zaha be tempted by moving abroad.

Barca eye Mata

A possible exit at United could be on the way for Juan Mata, with a report saying that the Spaniard is a target for La Liga champions Barcelona. Mata’s contract is due to expire at the end of the season and there has been no sign of an extension being agreed. That could lead him to return to Spain to bolster Barca’s squad as they look to add more depth.
Paper Round's view: It feels like ever since Mata burst on to the scene he was destined to end up at Barcelona. Yes he came through the Real system but he is such an elegant player he would surely fit into their style of play. There’s a space in the Barca squad for an Andres Iniesta type player and Mata could fill that gap for a couple of seasons. There are a couple of exceptional young midfielders in the Barcelona academy, Mata could be the perfect mentor for them.

Herrera wants £200,000-a-week deal to stay at Man Utd

We move to another Spaniard at Old Trafford, Ander Herrera, who reportedly wants £200,000-a-week to stay with United. Like Mata, Herrera is out of contract in the summer and he is attracting interest from Arsenal and PSG. In order to stay at Old Trafford he reportedly wants £200,00-a-week whilst United are only prepared to go to £170,000.
Paper Round's view: Herrera is a good player, he’s a key cog in the United midfield and he has even been spoken about as a potential captain. It’s a difficult situation that United find themselves in but realistically they shouldn’t have allowed the Spaniard’s contract to run down as they have. They will hope to be able to find a compromise in wages but at the moment it doesn’t look too good…

Griezmann to stay with Atletico

And we end with a report that says that Antoine Griezmann wants to stay with Atletico Madrid this summer as he believes he can win titles with the club. The World Cup winner has been attracting interest from Barcelona but he reportedly wants to remain with Atletico.
Paper Round's view: If Paper Round wants one thing this summer, it’s to avoid a repeat of ‘The Decision.’ Easily one of the worst bits of PR a footballer has created for some time. Griezmann is a big player but he’s no LeBron James, no-one really cares whether he stays or goes, particularly for a second summer in a row.
