The Daily Mail are the latest paper to say that the Serb defender is Bernabeu-bound in a £20 million deal with the Spanish giants beating Milan for his signature.

The more interesting thing now is who will United sign to replace him? Chris Smalling is on his way from Fulham but is still pretty raw but the Mail have put a few potential names forward with: Benfica's David Luiz, Palermo's Simon Kjaer (pictured) and Porto's Bruno Alves all on Sir Alex Ferguson's radar.

Elsewhere, and it looks as if Bordeaux striker Marouane Chamakh has agreed to join Arsenal on a Bosman transfer in the summer despite being offered more money by Liverpool (The Sun).
