Mauricio Pochettino’s side beat Watford 1-0 last weekend to climb to second in the table, and now face a crucial game at Manchester City, who lost to shock leaders Leicester City last weekend.
“We cannot forget that things can turn around quickly in football," Lloris told Tottenham’s official website.
"That’s why we always have to be vigilant about what’s happening every day.
"That’s the role of the gaffer, the staff, the experienced players - to put the team in the best condition every day for every game.”
Spurs have only lost three games in England's top tier this term and boast the best defensive record in the division, having conceded just 19 goals, and Lloris says there is great spirit in the dressing room at the moment.
"We’re having a great season because we are still in the cups, still in the league, there are a lot of things to try to reach and that’s exciting.”
"After the gaffer picks a player it doesn’t matter who is on the pitch, everyone is aware that we need to push the team as far as possible because we don’t want to miss a great opportunity.
"Everyone is aware of that and that’s why the spirit is so great in the team.”
