Jersey - Climber (Tour de France)
102.5KM TO GO: PARET-PEINTRE DOES IT AGAIN
The whippet-lean French climber does it again! He goes early with Carapaz on his wheel – but he manages to hold off the man from the Andes to add another 10 points to his tally and move 14pts clear of Pogacar at the top of the KOM standings. We have 25 more points left today: 5pts over the Ornon, then 20pts at the finish.

104KM TO GO: EF CROWD TO THE FRONT
Three of the four riders in pink have now crowded out Lidl-Trek on the front of the break as the summit of the climb draws closer. They will want to set up Carapaz for the KOM points and, ultimately, a push at the stage win on Alpe d’Huez. Quinn Simmons, the American champion, is trying to disrupt their efforts a little in a bid to protect his team-mate Pedersen, who has now dropped towards the back of the break.

105KM TO GO: GEE-WHIZZ
Canada’s Derek Gee-West sets a hefty tempo for his Lidl-Trek team-mate Mads Pedersen, who is powering up the climb on his wheel. They’re driving a fast enough tempo to keep the break in check while extending their lead over the yellow jersey group to 2’40” so it’s boding well for the green jersey in his bid to take the intermediate sprint points later in the stage.

107KM TO GO: JUST ONE UAE RIDER ON THE FRONT
Florian Vermeerch sets the tempo on the front of the pack for his team-mates Pogacar and Del Toro. Tim Wellens has been dropped while Adam Yates is up the road in the break, so the two UAE leaders only have Politt and Grossschartner alongside them now. The gap is two minutes. Here's what the yellow jersey had to say ahead of the stage...
