Dillon earns United draw

Miller picked himself up off the deck to drill the ball down the middle to the relief of the visiting bench.

The Scotland striker was at it again as he put Rangers ahead on 55 minutes.

Home goalkeeper Cammy Bell was guilty of more slack play as his second short pass out of goal proved pivotal in giving a goal away. Kyle Lafferty benefited seconds later as he turned Sissoko, who tugged him back before being sent off for a second bookable offence.

The home defender was still heading up the tunnel when Miller hammered the ball high beyond the despairing dive of Bell to give Rangers the lead.

Kilmarnock continued to fight bravely. Despite being a man down, they equalised on the hour mark when Sammon, who has now scored 10 goals in the SPL this term, converted Hamill's cross at the back post as McGregor failed to cut the cross out.

However Miller struck the winner and his 18th league goal this season when Steven Whittaker's cross was missed by Manuel Pascali. The unmarked Miller needed no second invitation as he thumped the ball beyond Bell for a winner the visiting side barely deserved.

Miller missed two chances for a fourth goal when he knocked wide of the goal while Bell blocked his shot in the dying minutes when he was sent racing clear by Lafferty.

Hamill almost rescued a point for Kilmarnock when he flicked a free-kick wide of goal while McGregor was called upon to make eye-catching stops from Aleksei Eremenko and Mehdi Taouil.
