Despite these claims only being rumours, the Italian club believes the deal will happen and the former Roma player will be back in Italy.
Also according to reports, the only problem slowing the transaction is convincing Samuel to accept a lower paid contract which experts do not think he will do.
If the loan goes through, Inter should have the option to sign Samuel on a permanent basis at a 16 million euro price tag in 2006.
Inter are also hoping fellow Argentineans Javier Zanetti and Esteban Cambiasso can convince Samuel to join them next year. Samuel could also join former Real Madrid teammate Santiago Solari, who has already agreed to join Inter this summer.
VERON WANTS TO STAY ON
Juan Sebastian Veron has said he will decide his future with Inter Milan after the Coppa Italia's second leg next week. After enjoying a successful first season with Inter, Veron said he'd be happy to play just one more season.
Veron, who is still under contract with Chelsea, said it's up to the London based club. He thinks it'll be a 50-50 chance for him to stay.
As of right now, Veron is also not expecting to be part of Argentina's plans for the 2006 World Cup finals. Veron hasn't been called up by Argentinean coach Jose Pekerman for this years Conderations Cup in Germany.
LAQUINTA WANTS FIORENTINA MOVE
Udinese striker Vicenzo Laquinta said he would welcome a move to Fiorentina if they offered him a contract. According to the striker himself, this is not the first time the Florence team has approached him. Laquinta made his feeling clear despite knowing that he would be turning his back on Udinese's Champions League participation next year.
