Fears that he had sustained cruciate ligament damage were not realised, although severe contusion should sideline him for twenty days.
His return is scheduled for Juve's Champions League last 16 first leg against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu.
DELVECCHIO JOINS BRESCIA
Marco Delvecchio has joined Brescia after a decade at Roma. The versatile forward had six months to run on his contract and opted to move in search of first-team football.
"Wearing this shirt for ten years remains my greatest source of satisfaction," Delvecchio said.
"I used to think I would end my career here, but things change in the footballing world. But I still consider myself a symbol of the club after my time playing here."
Delvecchio joined Roma from Inter in 1995, peforming a range of roles in midfield and attack. He appeared a handful of times for Italy, scoring just once - in his country's heartbreaking 2-1 Euro 2000 defeat to France.
XAVIER ON TRIAL
Roma have given a trial to Portuguese journeyman Abel Xavier. The right-back has ten days to prove himself to coach Luigi del Neri and could be snapped up until the end of the season.
The capital club would be Xavier's ninth club of a nomadic career.
CRIBARI OUT
Udinese defender Cribari will miss the rest of the season with a knee ligament injury. The 24-year-old arrived from Empoli last summer, but has made just five Serie A appearances.
