Inter v AC Milan LIVE - Serie A updates as Milan derby all square at San Siro

Milan triumph 2-1 over Inter in Derby della Madonnina thanks to a late Matteo Gabbia winner.

Christian Pulisic fired Milan into the lead after just 11 minutes, driving forward with the ball past several Inter players before prodding the ball home past Yann Sommer.

Inter started to grow into the game after going 0-1 down and they had their equaliser just before the half hour mark. Lautaro Martinez slipped a good ball into the path of Federico Dimarco who fired his effort low and hard into the corner past Mike Maignan to level up the match.

Milan had a succession of big chances to take the lead in the second half, most notably through Rafael Leao who struck a fierce effort straight at Sommer and Tammy Abraham who fired an effort wide of the post from close-range.

With missed chance after missed chance, it looked as though it wasn’t going to be the Rossoneri’s day, that was until Tijjani Reijnders’ free kick found Matteo Gabbia, with the boyhood Milan fan rising highest to power home a header past Yann Sommer to earn Milan all three points.

Noah Okafor has a huge chance to score a third but somehow puts his effort over the bar from close-range under no pressure.

Matteo Darmian has a free header but gets underneath it and heads it well over the bar.

Gabbia has fired Milan into the lead with a bullet of a header! The free kick is a brilliant one from Reijnders and Gabbia rises highest to power a brilliant header past Sommer who had no chance.

If any team is to find a winner it looks as though it will be Milan. Paulo Fonseca's side are really giving everything in attack here.

Paulo Fonseca's side have had a couple of really, really good chances in the second half and will be frustrated that they aren't in the lead here at the San Siro.

It's taken a while but Rafa Leao is really starting to come into this game now. The Milan winger is taking advantage of the game getting more stretched and getting on the ball more and looking to get into advanced positions.

Rafa Leao does well on the left-hand side to cut in and fire an effort on goal but it's straight at Sommer.

Christian Pulisic receives the ball on the counter-attack in midfield but Dimarco works brilliantly to get back to nick the ball back for his team.
