Igor Tudor has resigned from his position as Lazio head coach after less than three months in charge of the Serie A club.
In a brief statement on their website, the club wrote: "Lazio announces that, today, Igor Tudor has resigned as manager of the first team.
"The company thanks the technician for the work carried out, wishing him the best personal and professional luck."
The 46-year-old took over as head coach at the club in March from former Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri who had been in charge of Lazio for three years.
Sarri had resigned after a fifth defeat in six games, which left the club in ninth place in Serie A after 28 games.
Tudor led the club to a seventh-place finish in Serie A and qualification for next season's UEFA Europa League in his 11 games in charge in all competitions.
The Croatian had signed a one-year contract with the option for a further season.
According to Italian football journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Tudor has decided to leave Lazio after failing to agree with president Claudio Lotito and sporting director Angelo Fabiani on the club's transfer targets in the summer window.
Hellas Verona boss Marco Baroni is reportedly one of the favourites to replace Tudor.
In the 2022-23 season, Tudor led Marseille to a third-place finish in Ligue 1 where his side were 22 points behind champions Paris-Saint-Germain, but secured a UEFA Champions League qualifying spot.
Before his time at Marseille, the 45-year-old had a spell at Galatasaray in the Turkish Super Lig, as well as posts at Udinese and Verona in Serie A.
Tudor has plenty of experience in Italian football, as that is where he plied his trade as a player before turning to management.
During a nine-year spell, he made over 100 appearances for Juventus while also representing Croatia 55 times from 1997 to 2006.
