Inter Milan have had an up-and-down season in Serie A, but proved too good for Sampdoria at the Giuseppe Meazza on Saturday evening. Stefan de Vrij opened the scoring, the advantage was doubled by Nicolo Barella and Joaquin Correa added a third. The victory lifted Simone Inzaghi’s side into the top five in the standings, albeit some way adrift of league leaders Napoli who remain unbeaten.
