Internazionale president Massimo Moratti has confirmed that the reigning European champions will need to sell players before they can bring in new blood in the January transfer window.

Both Moratti and Inter chief executive Ernesto Paolillo have made comments - apparently tongue in cheek - about the Italian and European champions wanting to sign Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi, while Paolillo recently said that team coach Rafael Benitez wants to bring in two new players in the January transfer window.
But Moratti insisted that the club will need to raise funds through sales if they are to splash out.
"I don't know if we will do something. We are looking around," said Moratti.
"But to buy we must sell. We will see if we are able to do both of these things."
Despite his caution Moratti stoked up the Messi rumours, suggesting that a deal might one day be done.
"Everything will be a joke, maybe," said Moratti. "Anyway, we have time. Messi said never say never and he speaks the truth."
Meanwhile, Inter midfielder Sulley Muntari has refused to discuss a possible move until January.
"I am working hard to get back in the good books of the manager," he said.
"Transfer time is in the market, so I am not talking about moving, we will talk around January."
