Reggina boss can't do more
ByTNT Sports
Following their 1-1 draw with Livorno, Reggina coach Walter Mazzarri has admitted his side could not have prepared any better. The stalemate left the Calabrian outfit still teetering on the brink of the relegation zone, just a point ahead of third-bottom
Rolando Bianchi netted to cancel out Cristiano Lucarelli's opener in steamy conditions in Tuscany, but the Amaranto could not go on and take all three points, leaving Mazzarri to look ahead to the crucial midweek clash with fellow strugglers Messina.
"We couldn't do any more," he said. "We prepared well for the match, but probably the high temperatures conditioned the match for both sides.
"We are trying to keep our fitness because on Thursday we face Messina and we absolutely need all three points."
"I'm sorry, but at the moment this is all we can do."
