Steven Gerrard says Rangers still have work to do after ending 10-year wait to win Scottish title

Rangers, with 88 points from 32 matches, sealed their 55th league title after second-placed Celtic were frustrated by Dundee United in a goalless draw. Steven Gerrard said Rangers, who still have six league games left to play, would now shift focus to the Europa League, with the first leg of their last-16 tie against Slavia Prague set for Thursday in the Czech Republic.

Rangers celebrated their first Scottish Premiership title since 2011 on Sunday but manager Steven Gerrard said they still have a lot of work to do.
Rangers fans had flouted Covid-19 lockdown restrictions to gather outside Ibrox before and after Saturday's 3-0 win over St Mirren moved them to within a point of the title and Celtic had needed a win on Sunday to delay their celebrations.
Rangers are unbeaten in the league this season and have denied Celtic a 10th successive title.
"I'm on a real, emotional high and it has been a journey that is not finished," former Liverpool and England midfielder Gerrard told the club website.
"There is more to come and the next thing for me, when you win, it is always about what is next.
"This has been a team effort and a collective effort -- it is a monumental achievement and I am just so proud to be the manager of that.
We are in March and I need them to keep delivering until the end of the season.
Police made 28 arrests after celebrations
Scottish police arrested 28 fans and fined several others following wild celebrations sparked by Rangers' first league title triumph in 10 years.
Thousands of Rangers fans gathered at the club's stadium, training ground and George Square in Glasgow's city centre as they celebrated the team's 55th league crown.
Many fans let off flares while some of them were guilty of disorderly conduct, assaulting police officers and "sectarian related breach of the peace", police said.
The gatherings were met with anger by the general public, with Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon saying fans risked the country's progress in containing the novel coronavirus and described the scenes as "infuriating and disgraceful."
Greater Glasgow police said in a statement on Monday that following a planned policing operation, 28 people were arrested.
Chief Superintendent Mark Sutherland added that seven people were issued with fixed penalty notices or will be the subject of a report to a local prosecutor.
"Despite the coronavirus regulations and the prohibition of gatherings, our officers were faced with a very difficult set of circumstances," Sutherland said.
"Over the course of the day (Sunday) a number of minor injuries were sustained by members of the public, some of which were as a result of intoxication.
"I'm grateful to our officers who showed great commitment and professionalism... many of whom put their own health at risk during a challenging set of circumstances."
Rangers said in a statement that they understood the joy of their fans but urged them to follow protocols.
"We're aware there is the possibility of more, significant milestones within this season," the Scottish Premiership champions said on Monday.
We look forward to further open dialogue with the government, police, SPFL (Scottish Professional Football League) and other key stakeholders.
