Last month, he was voted players' Player of the Year following an outstanding season for the Scottish champions. Nakamura scored a magnificent free kick to beat Manchester United 1-0 in a Champions League encounter in November, securing a place in the knockout stages. He converted another spectacular free kick to clinch the SPL title at Kilmarnock.
"The highlight was beating Manchester United 1-0 at home but not for my goal but because it was more important we got to the last 16 of the Champions League," Nakamura said through an interpreter. "Playing is more important than the language and if you can play on the pitch you can learn the shouts."
