QPR 'part company' with manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink
QPR have confirmed that they have 'parted company' with manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink after less than a year in charge.
Rumours about Hasselbaink's imminent departure had been circulating, but he denied that he would resign, claiming that the club was "in transition" and there was no need to panic after a run of poor results.
“The club appreciates Jimmy’s efforts during his time in charge and wishes him all the best for the future," a club statement read.
His side managed a draw against Nottingham Forest today while down to ten men after Karl Henry's first-half dismissal, with Idrissa Gueye heading an equaliser five minutes from time.
Former Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood has been linked with the role.
