Sir Alex Ferguson has praised the form of new Manchester United goalkeeper Senne Lammens, who has enjoyed a bright start to life at Old Trafford. After Andre Onana left on loan to Trabzonspor and Altay Bayindir made mistakes early in the season, Lammens started the last five games and has been central to United's improved performances in the Premier League.

Sir Alex Ferguson hailed Manchester United goalkeeper Senne Lammens as an "outstanding" signing as his former club embark on an improved run of form.
After sending Andre Onana out on loan to Super Lig club Trabzonspor following two unconvincing seasons between the sticks, Lammens has made a good early impression at United.
Both Onana and Altay Bayindir made frustrating errors early in the season, leaving Ruben Amorim with little choice but to turn to the inexperienced Belgian.
The 23-year-old's bright start has earned him praise from the club's greatest figure.
"The manager has had some good signs," Ferguson told Raceday RTV.
"Particularly the goalkeeper has been outstanding, he’s only played three or four games and he’s looking really good."

The shot-stopper joined from Royal Antwerp for just over £18 million and has since established himself as Amorim's first choice.
Lammens has started the last five games and, despite keeping just one clean sheet, he has been central to United's improvement, helping to lift them to seventh in the table and just a point off the top four.
The goalkeeper position has been a significant problem for United since the departure of David de Gea in 2023.
Onana was signed for £47m from Inter Milan to replace him, but in two seasons, he failed to stake his claim as United's long-term keeper.

Goalkeepers were a cornerstone of Ferguson's success at United, with Peter Schmeichel and Edwin van der Sar both cutting inspired figures at Old Trafford.
It was also the Scot who signed De Gea before his retirement in 2013, and the Spaniard spent a decade as United's No. 1 before leaving in 2023.
Fellow summer signings Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha have also impressed Ferguson.
"Of course, Mbeumo and Cunha, the new players from Wolves and Brentford, they’ve added to it.
"I hope the manager gets a bit of success because at United, you need to have success. The signs are getting better.
"I think back-to-back wins is something teams like United should always expect.
"But having gone through a cycle where the improvement has to come by waiting and being patient, they are enjoying it now."
