Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner reveals Eberechi Eze release clause has expired amid transfer speculation - 'It's the club's decision'

Eze impressed in Palace's 0-0 draw with Chelsea in the Premier League on Sunday, having a free-kick goal disallowed in the first half. The 27-year-old no longer has a release clause in his contract, but his future remains uncertain.

Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner said Eberechi Eze's future is "the club's decision" amid speculation he will leave before the close of the transfer window.
Glasner confirmed the 27-year-old's release clause - reportedly worth an initial £60 million - had expired.
The Palace boss also insisted reports regarding Eze's future should be taken with a pinch of salt.
"I’m sorry, it's nothing personal with all of you, but I said it's good advice to the kids, don't always believe what you read, especially on the internet and here's the same," Glasner said in his press conference after Palace's goalless Premier League opener against Chelsea.
"Who knows that this is the truth, what is written? There are rumours and so many rumours and everybody tells somebody something for his own advantage, maybe.
"And then I know, I watch the players every single day, in the training sessions, we meet them.
"And again, if everything or most of the things that are written about them is true, they couldn't perform like this. The team couldn't be together like this. The team couldn't be committed to each other like they are. It's just not possible.
"So again, I'm quite calm. But I also know we have two weeks to go [of the transfer window] and I know Eb’s [release] clause is gone, so it's the club's decision, and we will see what happens."
Tottenham Hotspur have been heavily linked with Eze, who saw a powerful free-kick goal disallowed following a VAR check at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
Glasner claimed both Eze and defender Marc Guehi - linked with a move to Liverpool - will continue to play despite the speculation.
"Ebs and Marc, there has been a lot of noise about these two players in the last week. Everyone could see the performances against Liverpool and today they were 100% aligned with this team and Crystal Palace," he told BBC Match of the Day.
"As long as they are 100% committed, they will play as they are so good. I watched them all week in training, I spoke to them almost daily, maybe more than my kids and wife, but it's been worth it to talk to them.
"They didn't just show they are great footballers, but they are great people and that's what I expected."
