Premier League Round-up: Arsenal return to winning ways against Nottingham Forest, Crystal Palace draw at Aston Villa

Arsenal ended a four-match winless Premier League run as they defeated Nottingham Forest 3-0 at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon. A goal in the first half from Bukayo Saka gave them the lead, while Thomas Partey and Ethan Nwaneri struck in the second half. At Villa Park, Aston Villa shared the points with relegation strugglers Crystal Palace.

Arsenal got back to winning ways on Saturday with an emphatic 3-0 victory over high-flying Nottingham Forest at the Emirates Stadium.
Mikel Arteta’s side - who were reeling off the back of a four-match winless run in the Premier League - went ahead after a quarter of an hour through winger Bukayo Saka.
Seven minutes after the restart, midfielder Thomas Partey doubled the home side’s advantage while emerging youngster Ethan Nwaneri notched late on.
The victory sees Arsenal in fourth place, level on points with third-placed Chelsea - who beat Leicester in Saturday's early kick-off live on TNT Sports and discovery+ - with Forest sitting in sixth.

SPOILS SHARED AT VILLA PARK

At Villa Park, Oliver Glasner relieved some of the pressure on his position with a potentially important point - drawing 2-2 with Unai Emery's Aston Villa.
Palace went ahead through Ismaila Sarr after just four minutes, before Ollie Watkins levelled after the half-hour mark. The away side then struck again in first-half added time through Justin Devenny.
With Unai Emery’s men chasing the game, Ross Barkley struck with 13 minutes of regulation time remaining to earn a point for Villa.
The draw sees Villa in seventh spot, while Palace remain in the relegation zone in 18th spot.

WOLVES ON THE UP

Wolves enjoyed a huge 4-1 win at Fulham to give a boost to Gary O'Neil's position after a slow start to the season.
The win was made more impressive after Alex Iwobi scored for Marco Silva's men first, on 20 minutes, but Matheus Cunha equalised just after the half-hour mark, with the two sides going into the tunnel all square. 
Eight minutes after the restart, Joao Gomes gave Wolves the lead, before Cunha scored his second on 87 minutes, and Goncalo Guedes made it 4-1 deep into added time, to seal Wolves' move up to 17th. Fulham, meanwhile, are ninth.

BRIGHTON WIN; EVERTON-BRENTFORD GOALLESS

Ten-man Brighton held off Bournemouth to come away from their south coast rivals with all three points in a 2-1 victory.
Joao Pedro struck after four minutes, and Kaoru Mitoma made it two shortly after the start of the second half.
On 59 minutes, Carlos Baleba was sent off, but David Brooks reduced the arrears on 93 minutes- which proved too late for a comeback. Brighton are now fifth, levle on points with Arsenal and Chelsea with Bournemouth 13th.
Elsewhere, Everton drew 0-0 at home to Brentford, as Sean Dyche's men failed to press home a numerical advantage after Christian Norgaard was sent off on 41 minutes
Norgaard was given his marching orders after a studs-up challenge on England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford was VAR-reviewed. Everton are 15th with Brentford 10th.
