Noni Madueke praises Chelsea team-mate Cole Palmer as partnership flourishes - ‘He is cold and I am fire’

Cole Palmer made his name with his famous "Cold" celebration last season, and his team-mate Noni Madueke made reference to the nickname when discussing the England international. Palmer laid on all three assists for the 22-year-old as he scored a hat-trick for Chelsea in their 6-2 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

Chelsea hat-trick hero Noni Madueke praised Cole Palmer’s “brilliant” play as he set up each of his goals in the 6-2 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday.
Madueke had caused controversy when he described Wolverhampton as “s***” on an Instagram post, though apologised for his statement after the match.
He first, though, added insult to injury when he notched three goals in his side’s drubbing of the Black Country club.
Madueke scored all three of his goals in the second half, and Palmer provided the assist for each of them.
Speaking to Premier League Productions, Madueke referenced "Cold" Palmer’s celebration as he paid tribute to his team-mate.
"He is cold and I am fire, so it mixes well," Madueke said. "He has always got the ability to play the right pass at the right time, so it's brilliant.
"Today means a lot. Really just being clever and waiting for the right moment. The system allows us to probe and probe and probe and keep possession high up [the pitch].
"Maybe in the first half it was a bit more end-to-end but we gained control in the second half.
"First [goal] was bit lucky, second one was just Cole Palmer, two brilliant, weighted passes I just had to step on to score.
"I'm made up for the hat-trick but more made up that we won the game."
Discussing new manager Enzo Maresca, who joined after gaining promotion to the Premier League with Leicester City last year, he added: "I think it's obvious. Everyone saw what he did at Leicester last year.
“He's mad about his approach, about the little details.”
