The Reds star's previous contract was set to expire this summer, with the player having been linked with a transfer to the Saudi Pro League. Mohamed Salah has put pen to paper on a new two-year Liverpool deal - but where does he rank among Liverpool's top scorers?
The 32-year-old's previous contract was set to expire in the summer, with doubts over whether he would stay on Merseyside following comments from the Egyptian during the season and links to the Saudi Pro League.
"Of course, I'm very excited - we have a great team now," said Salah. "Before we also had a great team. But I signed because I think we have a chance to win other trophies and enjoy my football.
"I have played eight years here, hopefully it's going to be 10. I'm enjoying my life here, enjoying my football. I have had the best years of my career here."
Salah has been Liverpool’s talisman since signing from Roma in 2017, and has this term scored 32 goals in all competitions, including 27 Premier League strikes, as the Reds close in on a 20th top-flight title.

Salah sits in third in Liverpool’s top-goalscorers list, with 243 strikes in his 394 appearances in all competitions.
Anfield great Ian Rush, who represented Liverpool in two spells across the 80s and 90s, is Liverpool’s record scorer with 346 goals.
Meanwhile, Roger Hunt, who led the line for Liverpool from 1958 to 1969, is second on the list, having netted 285 goals for the Merseysiders.

Where does Salah rank among the Premier League top goalscorers?
Salah is joint-fifth in the Premier League all-time scorers list, alongside Manchester City legend Sergio Aguero.
Salah has netted 184 goals in 294 appearances, while Aguero wracked up the same tally in 19 fewer games.
Of course, Alan Shearer leads the Premier League all-time scorers list, having scored 260 goals in 441 appearances. Harry Kane is second, having found the net 213 times in 320 Premier League outings.
Former Manchester United and Everton striker Wayne Rooney is third, with 208 goals in 491 league appearances, while Andy Cole is fourth with 187 strikes across 414 games.
