Karen Carney has had her say on Mohamed Salah’s contract situation at Liverpool, with the Egyptian’s current deal due to expire at the end of the season. There has been plenty of talk about why the negotiations have taken so long to reach a conclusion, but Carney believes Salah wants to stay and has been doing his talking “with his feet” as Liverpool prepare to take on Manchester United.

TNT Sports expert Karen Carney believes that Mohamed Salah is more likely than not to stay at Liverpool and his situation is "not a risk" for the club.
Salah still has yet to put pen to paper and either sign a new deal at Liverpool or elsewhere, with his current contract due to expire at the end of the season.
It is a situation that has dominated headlines of late, but it does not appear to have affected either his or Liverpool’s form.
They sit on top of the Premier League, six points clear of Arsenal with a game in hand, and are also in pole position in the UEFA Champions League.
Liverpool host Manchester United at Anfield this weekend, but once again, all the talk in the build-up to the game is around Salah, and whether he is going to stay put or head for pastures new.
He gave a rare interview this week, stating that "there is no progress" on his contract, and Carney was swift to weigh in on the significance of that statement.
"Yesterday, when he came out because he very rarely does interviews, and he's done it right before the Manchester United game as well," she said.

"He's doing all the talking with his feet. I think he wants to stay at the football club. I think he's telling the football club, ‘come on, offer me. I’m performing well, I’m looking sharp, I’m looking fit, I’m delivering’.
"I think he'll have another fantastic game tomorrow. I think it's a big thing to come out and say what he did, and he has to deliver and he will. But I think he wants to stay.
"There’s talk of £400,000 a week. He's 32. Liverpool are obviously thinking they’re not sure. It’s a risk for the football club with his age, but it's not a risk because it's Mo Salah and what he delivers."
Salah has been in electric form this season, with 20 goals so far across all competitions, as he looks to propel Liverpool to more silverware.
The off-pitch discussions do not seem to have affected his on-field performances one bit, with Liverpool going from strength to strength under Arne Slot.

"Top of the Champions League, top of the Premier League, they look the formidable team," Carney continued.
"In terms of this man [Slot], he absolutely blew me away, following Klopp in the manner that he has.
"He's calm. He's collected, he has people asking him about the three players out of contract. They are just absolutely flying, and I didn't anticipate him to come in and do what he has done, but credit to him."
Joe Hart agreed that Salah's form has been impressive considering the off-field distractions.
"I'm seeing someone who represents his club to the max, represents his team and scores important goals. He’s carrying his team to an incredible season.
"They're the facts we can deal with, everything else is speculation. He's told us they're a little bit away, that's for the people above his head, and that's the business of the football world. But the football side of things, he's taken care of, and I think he's been absolutely incredible."
