The Germany international requires surgery on a hamstring problem he picked up on a warm weather training camp in Dubai, landing a blow to The Gunners' Premier League title hopes. A club statement said that Havertz's recovery "is expected to extend into pre-season preparations for next season".

Arsenal will be without striker Kai Havertz for the rest of the season after confirming his hamstring injury requires surgery.
The news comes as a bitter blow to their hopes of catching Liverpool in the Premier League title race, with fellow forwards Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus also currently sidelined.
Havertz's injury was confirmed by Arsenal on Thursday in a club statement.
"We can confirm that Kai Havertz has sustained a hamstring injury during a training session in Dubai last week," it said.
"Subsequent assessments and specialist reviews have confirmed that the injury will require surgery, which will take place in the coming days.
"Soon after surgery, Kai will begin his recovery and rehabilitation programme, which is expected to extend into pre-season preparations for next season.
"Everyone at the club is fully focused on supporting Kai to ensure he is back to full fitness as soon as possible."
Havertz's absence ensures that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will be without a recognised striker for the rest of the 2024/25 campaign.

Leandro Trossard, Raheem Sterling and 17-year-old Ethan Nwaneri are currently the only fit forwards in the first-team squad ahead of a busy season run-in.
Jesus faces a long spell out following anterior cruciate ligament surgery, while Saka underwent hamstring surgery in December and Martinelli also injured his hamstring in last week's Carabao Cup defeat to Newcastle.
Havertz is Arsenal's top scorer this season with 15 goals, while he has also contributed five assists in 34 appearances across all competitions.

The club were linked with several strikers during the January transfer window, such as Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins and Newcastle's Alexander Isak, but the speculation came to nothing by the time the deadline passed.
