Jorginho has committed his future to Arsenal by signing a contract extension, the club announced on Thursday.
The 32-year-old joined the Gunners in January 2023 after a successful five-year spell with London rivals Chelsea.
Jorginho has become a key member of the first-team squad in terms of bringing experience to a young Arsenal side and has played his part as they look to win their first Premier League title since 2004.
“We’re delighted that Jorgi has signed a new contract with us," Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta said in a statement. "Jorgi is such an important part of our team, a role model with great leadership skills and a unique playing style ability which makes everybody better around him on the pitch.Â
"We’re very pleased that Jorgi and his family have committed with us and we’re all excited to continue this journey together.”
Jorginho has enjoyed an illustrious career and won the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Super Cup during his time at Chelsea, while he also won Euro 2020 with Italy.
The Italy international has not yet added the Premier League title to his list of honours but said he has unfinished business with the Gunners.
“It’s been really positive, because I felt part of something big straight away," he told the club's website. "I felt involved and really in a good place. It’s not always like that, so when you feel something like this, it’s something important.Â
“I’m really happy to stay, because it’s a privilege to be a part of this family. My family is happy, we are really well settled and there’s more to come!"

When asked if it was an easy decision to extend his deal with the club, he replied: “There was not much to discuss to be honest.
"Because I feel really good here. Just to know that they appreciate me and want me to stay longer as well, it’s a big thing for me. I feel that I have more to do, so that’s the reason why I’m staying.”
The midfielder has made 35 appearances in all competitions this season, with his only goal coming in the 6-0 win over Lens in the UEFA Champions League group stage.
Jorginho will be hopeful that Arsenal can be crowned Premier League champions this season as they seek to outdo Manchester City.
The Gunners face Manchester United and Everton in their remaining league games.
